This cook top looks good at first glance. If you do not cook much you will find it okay. BUT....if you cook often you will find that its difficult to clean, stainless steel scratches easily and grates are super heavy and they hold heat-so you have to wait a while before you can remove the grates and clean it. The grates are designed to be too high above the burner. My counter tops are standard height-36" (and I am 5'7"), the tall grates make it very difficult to look down into a taller pot when you are cooking-it's almost like you need a step stool to see into your pot. It's impossible to wipe up any spills or splashes around the burners while the cook top is use-without burning your hand. You must wait until grates cool, then lift the heavy things off the cook top to clean the stainless underneath. The burners and burner caps flip off easily as you are cleaning around then. I think I've spend more time moving grates and cleaning this cook top than I have actually cooking with it! I wish I had chosen another cook top, very disappointing.The cook top works fine, but the design is flawed. And stainless steel is not durable-it scratches very easily-grates are HEAVY, course and difficult to clean. We have been in our new home less than a month and I am noticing how the black on the top of the grate is scratched and more silver-like in color than black. I'm going to see if I can order lower grates to replace the tall ones-probably not an option.

I did a lot of research before purchase and this model was the top rated cooktop. I was a bit worried about size, but it fit perfectly in the old space and my contractor had it installed in just a few minutes. The grills are super heavy duty. It fires up right away and has illuminated dials. Love it

I first must say Frigadaire went out of their way to help me get my gas stovetop at the sale price eventhough Lowes was out of stock and home depot was out of stock. Very impressed that Frigadaire would step up like that. My wife likes the options of the different sized burgers. And each burner does its job. The heating potential is unlimited. Compared to the 22 year old unit that came with the house. It looks great cleans up well. And I would recommend this as a produ t that will give us another 20 years.

We are really enjoying our new 30" Frigidaire Gas Cooktop. Easy to use and the gas is very easy to control. Looks great in our kitchen and offers lots of optional burner sizes for various tasks. The only negative is the weight of the removeable cooking grids. They are so heavy that my wife is unable to pick them up for cleaning the deck below. I can help when I'm around, but the weight of those items does frustrate her.

We have been using this cooktop extensively for about a month and a half. It works well, the burners are nice, and the lighted knobs are a great feature, definitely an upgrade from our previous one. A minor issue was the brackets underneath that secure the cooktop; they were quite awkward, so we discarded them and used metal straps and screws instead. However, my main concern is the poor quality of the grates. The black outer layer is already chipping off, revealing unsightly rust spots. I would not purchase a Frigidaire cooktop again.

This stove top is amazing. We did a kitchen remodel and it fit perfectly in our cutout for a 30" stovetop. Very easy to install. If you™™re a DIY like me, make sure to use both the provided nylon tape and pipe dope for the gas line connections to ensure good seals .I highly recommend it.

The functionality of this cooktop is fantastic. Finally, I have a five burner 30 inch cooktop that can actually have more than 2 pots or pans on it at the same time. as a bonus, it looks great and due to the height of the grates the cookware sits higher than most other cooktops.

I wanted to love this cooktop. It does look and feel high end. However, I feel it's best suitable for kitchens with a range hood, and not an over the range microwave. Because the grates stand tall above the counter, it dramatically reduces the space you have in between the cooktop and microwave. Also, it's a pain to keep clean with the heavy duty grates, and the steel finish does not wipe easily.

The grates!!! OMG™¦ I can tell that who ever designed this cooktop and all those who approved the design DONT EVER COOK in their kitchen. I cook from scratch all meals and I use lots of pots and pans at the same time, and here is what I found that would have been obvious if this product was tried before putting it out in the market:1) whatever drops between grates, just hope that it won™™t burn and make a stain by the time you are done cooking, there is no way you can reach down 3 inches down to clean anything.2) grates are to high and near the knobs that I burned my finger while turning one (same happened to my hb).3) once you are donde cooking and grates cooldown, you have to remove ALL super heavy grates (cast iron heavy) starting from the middle one, because there is no other way to do it.4) now, how to clean the grates it™™s a challenge on it™™s own, won™™t fit on sink, so I have to clean them besides the sink making a soapy watery mess.PLEASE design replacement grates for this cooktop.

Never used Gas Cooktop before, always want to change to the gas, but never had the chance. This time since my old electric cooktop stopped working, I decided to give Frigidaire a try. I can say I made the right choice. This cooktop is nice looking, well built and functional well. I didn't have any issue of getting any of the stoves lighted up. The fire come out from the stoves is very strong to a point I think it is too strong that I don't normally set to maximum level. I love my new stove and enjoy to cook using the gas stove. I don't think I will ever go back electric again.

My husband installed it no problem. Frigidaire Cast iron grate, steel gas stove top. The good: very very beautiful to look at. Nice and shiny, gas stove is very powerful, great to cook on. The bad: 3 separate cast iron, very heavy to pick up and wash over the sink. I have done a lot of homework how to clean it. What to use, what not to use™¦there are a lot of conflicting advices™¦.Cast iron grates: make sure you clean it every use or the hard stuck on food is a pain to clean (use soap/water, or vinegar/water 50-50, for harder to clean stuff use water/baking soda, or pumice stone works). Seasoning is necessary, if you don™™t, they say food will stick on it, it can rust, harder to clean. I™™ve looked online how to season grates, tried to season it with canola oil just on the burner (per Vulcan brand stove) low heat for 15 minutes thought this was the easiest. This was even before I cooked on them for the first time. The burner caps became stained with gray/silver stuff, so did the grates that is over the burner. Had to scrub with cloth and baking soda/water to remove it. Also drying the heavy cast iron grate was a pain. They say use a no lint cloth, microfiber, or use a cotton t shirt etc the problem is not the lint, the problem is that the grates are rough so when you try to wipe it dry or season it with a cloth, the small fibers of the cloth begins to tear and adheres to the cast iron so it looks like it has a ton of lint on it!! I did more research. Ended up with this fool proof way:Wash both the cast iron grates and burner caps as above, pat or blotch with a lint free cloth just the water that is dripping to prevent water from dripping on floor, put it in the oven to dry at 200 degrees for 10-15m voila! Then while the pores of the cast iron is more ready to accept the oil since it™™s warm, I use a silicon brush to put a thin layer of canola oil and per Frigidaire rep: season at 350 degrees for 15 minutes in the oven. Then remove and let it cool. I do this once a week™¦ As far as the stainless steel stove top surfaces, it is super delicate™¦ you cannot use a scotch brite scour even if it says non abrasive bc I used it and I see marks :(. Use a soft microfiber cloth with vinegar/water 50/50, or soap and water. This is what the Frigidaire rep said. Do not use baking soda or any other abrasive product. But I see ppl use baking soda, bar keepers friend in you tube. In case you do™¦ very important to rub with the grain of the stainless steel. Mine has horizontal grain so I can only clean from left to right (not up and down). I bought Weiman™™s stainless steel cleaner for when I have guests over if you want to have a stove to be streak free! I hope my review helps someone :)When I cook, I cover the other grates with a foil so that any food or oil that splatters on them won™™t dirty the grates. I don™™t want to have to clean all 3 grates every time I use only 1 burner™¦ My husband also cut out by hand oven liners and placed it on the surface of the stove so anything that splatters is a super easy clean up bc it™™s non stick! If you don™™t want this much fuss, buy the old fashion 4 burner enamel covered grated on a white stove top surface. (I™™ve done the research, white hides the dirt the best instead of stainless steel or black). It is so easy to clean with bar keepers friend. They don™™t seem to make them anymore. The modern ones are the cast iron grates™¦ they are beautiful but it™™s a bear to keep pretty.

This was a replacement for an old electric cooktop. (We had the gas line already in place). Total time to swap out was about 1.5 hours. The power on the burners is excellent and the center boil burner is like a little jet engine. Good temp control. Quick to light. Easy to clean.

Our Gallery stovetop works very well and give my wife much more cooking options then the GE we replaced it with. I recently did an online chat with Frigidaire concerning a problem where one of the rubber supports on the bottom of the grates broke off (there is an indication that two more will be breaking off soon. I had already checked the parts list and knew there wasn™™t a parts number listed for the rubber support.The last thing I got from the online chat was they were checking their resources. I also requested that they send replacement grates if that was the only way I could replace the rubber support! This stovetop is only a couple months old and the rubber supports are obviously defective.I also noticed that Frigidaire is clearing this model out on the website at a greatly reduced price under what I paid for mine at Home Depot.
