This is a large freezer that isn't too bad on electric. It gets and stays nice and cold, and isn't too noisy. If I had one complaint, it would be that the door seals so tight that the force required to open it causes the entire freezer to slide. I could probably solve this by putting the feet on rubber gripper thingers if this gets to be too much of a pain.

I was pleased to see that the energy rating was on the low end while the capacity was on the high side. I like the glass shelves over our previous wire shelf model. I also like the audible hi-temp alarm (that can be silenced if desired). With the turbo-freeze mode, the freezer got down to temp in less than the 4 hours indicated. As a bonus, I discovered after purchasing it that it is "garage-ready" meaning it is designed to handle higher/lower external temperatures without suffering damage.

Loads of room! Spacious Shelves, drawers and compartments. Frost free, Garage Ready, very quiet, bright light comes on when you open the door. What sold me was the door has an alarm if door is left open or it drops below freezing as this freezer is in a detached garage. The freezer has a side door lock to make sure it properly closed. I chose this freezer for a couple of reasons. Most important is that it is energy efficient and garage ready. This freezer has clear glass shelves instead of the wire shelves. The door bins are solid, not allowing anything to fall through an opening at the bottom of the bin. This freezer has clear solid drawers instead of wire baskets. Very spacious and much easier to organize than a deep freezer. I have a shelf for chicken, one for beef, and one for pork. All of my veggies are stored in the door bins. I like the bright LED light allowing me to clearly see everything I have in my freezer. I had a deep freezer before and when I cleaned it out once a year I ended up throwing away so much food that had gotten lost at the bottom and either expired or got freezer burn.

This freezer is very big and is so beautiful! Very well designed with shelves, door shelves as well as one large drawer and 2 smaller drawers at the bottom. It's also very sleek and has easy to use controls, such as, your temperature control being on the outside so you don't have to open the door to change the temp. Buyer Beware!!!!!!! Don't waste your time or money. GE® 21.3 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Upright Freezer - FUF21DLRWW Purchase 05/06 delivered 05/08, Food added 05/09 and Freezer died 5/11. The freezer for just $1244.86 is dead after just three days and $850 of groceries loaded. The freezer is extremely hot outside, with multiple temperature alarms, and the freezer shuts down randomly with an alarm. There are several reviews out there on this issue, now that I know what to search for I was able to find them, also Youtube is littered with them.

Large spaces which are clearly visible means you are not going to forget what food you have in there. Well lit, holds temps constantly. Glass shelves look great, seem well built and fit into their spaces firmly. Surfaces are nice and flat with minimal radiuses in corners and nothing fancy to keep cleaning nice and easy. Like the exterior door controls which means we can monitor temps without loosing cool air from opening it.
