The dryer is much smaller than our old one, but we didn't have room for the larger model of condenser model dryer. It does a great job of drying soft and wrinkle-free without softeners. We are aware of keeping to slightly smaller loads, and it really doesn't take a lot more time that way. Mostly, we use the "my cycle" setting since almost everything we own needs low heat, even our bath towels. It's programmed to use low heat, dry, and extended tumble.
As for the cons, there is not a longer drain hose available for the condenser drain What person thought a 4-foot hose would be enough? It's nuts with all the different configurations in homes and apartments. It might work if you stack it and the drain is right behind it. We can't even reach our drain with the dryer bumped tight to the washer--not even if we added a pedestal to gain a few inches lift. Which is the other con. Take a look at most of the European models. There are all manner of hoses and lengths for other brands. So I'm stuck carrying the condenser tank through the house to the sink at the other end of the house after every load.
Again, we do like the dryer, but I wish GE would catch up to the other brands. Vented dryers aren't even legal in some parts of Europe because of the energy waste and the danger of vent fires. I know these products are rather new to many customers in the US.
I'm almost 70 and have mobility limitations. The dryer is very, very low. It needs the pedestal to reach ADA height. I can buy the pedestal, but the retailer that sells the dryer doesn't offer installation for that item. We cannot lift a 95-pound dryer and install it ourselves. To hire someone will cost as much or more than the pedestal. This doesn't affect how the dryer operates, but it is something we were not prepared to have to accommodate.
The conclusion is we love the dryer and how it handles the clothing. The laundry is softer and much less wrinkled. It's a new product for most US customers and there are still some things to iron out with accommodating the market.

I have had this dryer for aver a year and still playing around with its functions and have not yet found a way to get towels or anything similar dry!
Timed dry? I don't know how long each load will take and shouldn't have to guess.
Towels option? Damp every time have to re run but but for how long? I have to guess any other option to finish them to a point of completely dry.
Basically, the dryer sensor does not work!
I read another review which said it's great, as long as you only do small loads and sometimes have to run a few times to get clothes dry, how is that great?
It's been a year of frustration and with ridiculous options that are not needed.

I am very happy with this dryer which I have had for almost a year now. I wanted to get one that did not require venting outside. I did not previously know about condenser dryers but came upon this one. The dryer works great and is energy efficient. it is quiet, too. I am very pleased with the dryer.

You have to make sure to do smaller loads but dryer works really, sometimes takes 2 times thru to make sure clothes are thoroughly dried but still works very well. Can fit a full size bed sheet set plus pillowcases in one load. we love it!

I've generally been quite please with the dryer. Unfortunately, the gasket seal around the door comes loose too easily. Unfortunately, someone pushed the gasket inside the dryer itself and ran the dryer, ruining the gasket. Now I can't find a replacement gasket; GE does not sell them

I live in a studio apt and recently added a washer and ventless dryer. Remember these are compact size so it doesn't hold a lot of clothes but it's perfect enough for me. Very happy with this option.
The dryer does take a bit longer than your standard gas dryer but I could only install a ventless. I connected the condenser drain directly to the drain pipe so I don't have to empty anything.
I also connected my machines to Wi-Fi. GE sells a part that connects to the Ethernet plug that's on the back on the machine.
Highly recommend if you are looking at a compact size.

I've had a ventless dryer before (different brand) & it took forever to get my clothes dry. This dryer is great. If anyone is familiar with ventless dryers, they know that it typically takes a long time to get anything dry. I have not experienced that with this dryer at all. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Dryer has various settings including dewrinkle and air fluff which is great. You can have eDry determined by the dampness of your clothing or timed dry set by you. Easy to clean lint filter and condenser container. Easy daily and monthly maintenances. Given it's size and it's electric dryer it does take a while to dry things like jeans and towels compared to the commercial dryers in the building. It will take 1.5 to 2 hours in this GE dryer versus 30-45 min minutes in the building's dryers. But that's the price of convenience.

My mother recently moved into my basement, and she has asthma, so I wanted something that would help. It's quiet, doesn't heat up the entire basement or make everything feel humid, and no lint everywhere. It holds more than I thought it would and takes less time than I figured. It took six months to receive, but it was definitely worth the wait. Easy to use...I have nothing negative to say about this dryer.

Dryer worked fine. I like the various electronic settings available. Since it is ventless your have to empty the water compartment occasionally. I needed one to fit under the counter which it does. So far so good.

Ordered compact washer + dryer Memorial Day 2021. Waited a month for delivery (this was okay). Both units dented / damaged inside pristine boxes upon delivery. Dryer has never worked, washer limping. Have now waited five months for back-ordered replacements, reorganized Christmas plans for 12/23 delivery (today), got 6 pm robo-call that delivery is rescheduled to end of January 2022. This is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES!!!!!!

I have never used a ventless dryer before this purchase. I've read mixed reviews online about ventless systems but in my unit I had no choice but ventless. I've had zero issues with it not drying perfectly and the vapor collection system works great, no extra humidity. Highly recommended.

This dryer never worked, something was wrong with the door sensor and so it always thought the door was ajar when it was actually shut. On top of that if I wanted a replacement I would have had to wait until January to get it. So I just returned it, hopefully will get my money back soon, and I can buy one that actually works. Really just a bad product.

Love the dehydrator we can use without venting - works well, better than regular electric heat dryer we replaced. The wrong local service person was sent by GE to fix the loud grinding noise - it came that way , had the super loud grating noise when first turned on. The service person said he would tell GE to send a dehydrator certified repair person but there was no follow up by GE (a month later).

We installed this dryer in our house, stacked on top of the matching washer. We used the washer which worked great. When we went to use the dryer, 10 mins into the drying cycle the machine started making a loud rattling noise. We called support - they came 3 weeks later to look at the machine and deemed the motor to be bad. Still not sure why we didn't just receive a new unit...

We would like there to be a setting for Perm Press. Also, the light inside the drum stays on at the end of the cycle, so we have to turn the power on & then back off to shut the light off.
