No functional refrigerator from the start. Low cooling issue in lower compartment. Increasing unbearable noise in the upper freezer. barely got a chance to use it for a month, then November very low cooling and increasing noise. Then long waits for repairs and parts, over and over. Then insane noise after repairs a week ago. Had to wait for another tech to come and say the obvious that the unit this model is defective and told the customer relations to replace it. It's FL. Refrigerators are essential here. This was the worst experience I ever had with a new appliance. Any unit that has this exact design is definitely prone to this noise issue in the evaporator area of the freezer. These are not vibrations. It's like someone drags a pile of metal on concrete. I had 3 repairs. They don't communicate with repairmen. On the phone they just keep scheduling more and more repairs. This is another red flag. GE is no longer a reliable company, as they rather spend more money on all these useless repairs rather then less money on replacing the defective model. It's not over. I still have to call them with a new case number on Monday, then wait for the replacement which will take weeks as they do everything slow and we are in holidays almost. So my hopes to get a refrigerator by 2022. I hope it can be a model with a different freezer design, cause anything that looks like this will develop that noise overtime and doesn't cool the lower section.

This fridge was very noisy. On the second day, half the led lights did not work. We also had to put it on maximum for it to keep our contents cold. It did not have a separate control for the freezer. When closing the bottom door, the freezer door would snap open just a little and close making a annoying noise. We ended up returning it to HomeDepot and bought another one, not a GE.

This fridge is NOT quiet. No matter HOW you close the fridge, the FREEZER WILL POP OPEN. The seal does not stay shut. I've been trying to call GE support for the last hour and you can't get past the IVR to a live person. their phone number is 800-GE-CARES. am i being punk'd?

Nice looking, easy to move, plenty of room. Only complaint from the time I plugged it in, was that it ran louder than normal. I had to call out a repair company to fix the problem. Turns out a bracket for fan in the freezer as well as some wiring was loose and needed to be tightened done. This should have been done and inspected at the factory.

Overall I am very pleased with my new GE Refrigerator. Like many others I rely on previous comments to determine if I will purchase an item. This was a tough one since many comments on many refrigerators were good and bad making it difficult to choose. I finally went for it, purchased this GE mostly because I am limited on space in my kitchen and therefore have very few choices. One of the most common negative comments on this refrigerator was the noise level (high noise). So now the GE has been here for just over a month. I am very pleased overall but I do agree, it is noisy. But here's the thing for me…it's only noisy when it runs, which is not all the time. And when you are standing right next to it, it can be loud. But so are other things in my house. Room air conditioners, heating system etc, etc. So it does not bother me like it may other folks. It is a negative, but overall I am happy with my new refrigerator. I guess new buyers need to determine for themselves how much noise they can tolerate.

It keeps stuff cold but when you shut fridge door, freezer door pops open and then closes. Wish door had better storage options (another shelf?). Wish freezer had 3 slots (one for the middle of freezer. You either have a lot of room on top and little on bottom of shelf of the opposite. This fridge has a reversible door option but the guys that delivered didn't want to do it for me. Once I looked at instructions I saw why. A little complicated. I have gotten used to the fridge's sounds but it took a while!

I am limited in my choices because of a fixed space and pre-ADA regulation door frames. My new GE refrigerator is a god-send, replacing a similar Frigidaire, the doors of which refused to stay closed a little more than a year after purchase. My GE is solid. Temperature is predictable and steady. Drawers and shelves are well-designed to maximize space. My one gripes that it is 2 cubic ft. smaller than Frigidaire--seems to me that design could have tolerated a bigger size and still met the space limitations of buyers with limits equivalent to mine.
