I'm trying to be objective and fair. We have used this refrigerator for three weeks. It had been purchased online through Home Depot.
At first appearance the quality was acceptable. The fan was not noisy the first day. Then we noticed that separate temperature controls for the refrigerator and freezer are not supplied. There is only one temperature control, and we could not get the freezer closer to zero degrees than 15 above without freezing items in the refrigerator. On the second day, the fan was noticeably louder. Annoyingly loud.
Then we had ordered an ice maker option. We received model IM-4D, which is what is recommended for this model according to GE. But the inside of the freezer noted that the icemaker kit had to have a "red label". This IM-4D had a blue label. Returning the IM-4D at Home Depot was a nightmare because this was supposed to be the right part according to GE. Good thing I took photos of the icemaker and the freezer. We have yet to call "GE CARES" to find out how we get the right IM-4D.
But I'm not sure I'm going to keep this. Why? 1) An annoying loud fan, 2) no separate refrigerator/freezer control, and 3) lack of readily available "red label" icemaker kit.

This refrigerator is not fancy, but does the job. It has plenty of side storage in the main section of the refrigerator and has deep shelving. The freezer is really roomy. The side compartment in the freezer door has a large capacity. We also like the LED lighting. The light stays cool so it doesn't affect the internal temperature. Overall, this is a good product for the money!

We love that it fit in our small space in our kitchen. It has a large freezer without the ice marked. The glass shelves and drawers seem to be good quality. The negatives are no place to store eggs on the door. With the freezer being so large it feels like you really have to bend down to get into the fridge. Otherwise so far it fits in great.

I like the interior space distribution. However, the freezer seal came with 1/8" gap that showed light when I place a flashlight inside. Neither of both seals make full contact with the frame. After a few minutes of trying to get the freezer seal to make contact with the box, I was able to make it close the huge gap, but still, I am not pleased with the way it looks (wavy).

I've owned several GE refrigerators. This one is the noisiest I've ever owned in my life. Dealer has been back twice to try to fix the noise with no luck. They've replaced the part each time, But no significant improvement. Can hear the frig cooling 30 ft and two rooms away. Said the fault is in the design of the cooling compartment. Can hear the rotating fan when it runs, sounds like a small machine gun.

Not the 'fridge I wanted but the only one around for quickest delivery. Still went 3 full weeks without and the ones I was looking for had that no guarantees on delivery ... up to ever! So, I got this one and have been pleasantly surprised. Minor things: no light and no separate temp control for freezer, and full shelves in the 'fridge. I like being able to split up a shelf here and there now and then. However, I am very happy with this refrigerator/

This a good value buy. All the regular features you need without fancy features which can go wrong if your electric supply suffers outages (a problem suffered with more complex models overseas in the Caribbean). This refrigerator performs as promised, temperature control is good in fridge and freezer sections. Unobtrusive design that blends in well in my apartment but with good capacity.

This unit has very nice features and is competitively priced. Opening and closing the crisper drawers and relocating some of the shelving makes this unit seem less expensive. Plus we were a little disappointed that ice trays and an egg storage unit wasn't included (However it's possible all manufacturers are omitting these). Otherwise we're very happy with our purchase.

This is the base model for this size. Lack luster. Only one control, 1-5 setting. The freezer is fine but the lower refrigerator section gets only around 40 degrees at the max setting. After one month, we called for service. The tech went straight to the back panel of the freezer and opened it. There is an adjustment for the amount of air to flow to the lower section (from the back side). I was hoping this secret adjustment would do the trick but NO, No, no. Food is still lingering around 40 degrees at the 4 setting. Also, the space is very limited.
