I have wanted a gas range for so long, and I finally got one. I have been so impressed at how great it cooks. I doesn't take forever to heat the pan, and when you turn the stove off, it's off, no cooling off the burner. This stove looks so good in my small kitchen, makes me look like a pro. Love it!!!

Our old cooktop was 16 years old, prompting a new one. This GE five burner cooktop is a huge improvement over our old model. It fit perfectly into the countertop hole, which is also guaranteed by GE. Installation was easy. The five burners allow more pots on the cooktop than our old four burner model. Cooking is easier as the new cooktop is actually putting out excellent heat levels for cooking. Black model is easy to clean and grates are dishwasher safe. Thanks for upgrading your products GE!

During remodeling we replaced all countertops and backsplash. This included replacing the old gas cooktop with a new model. The old unit was a GE Profile 4 burner and we added the new 5 burner unit. The old unit was white and didn't go well with the white quartz countertop and the black looks much better. The new unit looks more modern and we like the raised grates and black controls in the front better.

While we love the look of our new stovetop we have found the surface is not easy to clean. I had a garlic shrimp fall out of the frying pan and almost immediately got it out from under the grates but still have not removed completely the spot from where it landed. There is nothing you can feel but you can see it and I find it frustrating. I have tried the half vinegar & water that GE suggests and they say to not use scouring pads or cleanser. I just wish I knew what it would lake to make it disappear. I also have to admit I am unimpressed with the center burner which we did not need but ordered due to the fact that it is a "fast boil" but it really is not much faster than any other burner.

The picture is above is misleading I purchased and in the middle of the pandemic appliances were taking 2-3 months but received this in about 3 weeks. Kitchen renovation was still a mess so it wasn't installed for a month when I open I saw it wasnt a MATT finish I thought maybe it would be like the micro profile fingerint resistance NOPE stainless steel. So the only complaint I have is the finish I do not like the shiny black it always look smeared..

My home will only accommodate a 30" Cooktop and because the way our cabinets are integrated in our Granite Top there's no room for our desired size of 36 inches so we always had to settle for a 4 Burner in the 30 inch size. We replaced our older GE Induction Cooktop to this Gas Cooktop and love how the fit was perfect. No modifications needed! That was a sigh of relief knowing that I didn't have to spend anymore just to install it. There was a height difference from our old cooktop to this one, but it was no more than an inch higher so it didn't look too bulky.
My only two concerns, and the reason for the 4 stars, was that the knobs felt cheap and could easily break if accidentally hit by a pan or pot. My last cooktop had metal knobs covered by plastic and this cooktop only has plastic knobs. I will say though that my last cooktop was a GE Profile Cooktop so that could be the reason for nicer knobs.
My other concern was that this cooktop did not come with some sort of gasket or seal with the product. Without it, the cooktop slides around as the hole was maybe 1/4 wider than the actualy cooktop base. I know a gasket could be purchased separately, but for a few more dollars, GE could have included one that fit perfectly to this cooktop.
Aside from that, I love this gas cooktop. I ended up purchasing the griddle to go with this product and love how the grates and the griddle feel very "heavy-duty" and could last a very long time!

We love this cooktop. We replaced our previous 4 burner GE cooktop when we refreshed our kitchen. This one fit in the same space but because of it's design, it provides 5 burners instead of 4. I am guessing because of the new design of the burners, they provide more intense heat when turned up fully.

I love this cooktop. I upgraded to it when making choices for my new home. I love everything about it except the cooking grates. They always feel tacky or dirty. They felt that way brand new and I've cleaned them several times with no improvement.
