Terrible unit, was in recently built home that we purchased. Date on unit is 2018. But it was only used for less than 3 years, First certain numbers couldn't be used and part of the display was missing. Now it clock will not set and numbers cannot be used. Even tried the popcorn button or the 30 second one, NOTHING works! This ridiculous for the cost of this item.

I have had to replace this microwave 3 times in a span of 4 years! We built our house and our builder used this microwave. The first one lasted 3 years, but with the opening feature broken then one day it stopped. Replaced it with the same one, and that one didn't last even a month before it just stopped working. Waiting on warranty replacement still.

Moved into our new home in 2016. It had all GE Profile appliances. We enjoyed the convection setting on our microwave. It lasted about 4 1/2 years. We replaced it with the predecessor of this model. From the start, the fan in the microwave vibrates more than our old one. We are now at the 18-month mark with this one, and it no longer heats and the turntable does not turn.

Product was installed yesterday and was defective out of the box. Turntable does not turn and micro heating runs but does not heat. Customer service has been very responsive thus far, and a tech is coming out 5/24. I will update this review after the tech does his/her thing, but not happy with the product.

We have this in our vacation home and have used it less than 50 times. The control panel has quit working. It was a VERY EXPENSIVE microwave and we are thoroughly disgusted it has quit working. A cheap Walmart oven would last longer than this.
We needed this size to fit above our regular wall oven.
Very disappointed and would not recommend.

It's broken now after 2 years normal use. It doesn't heat at all. Have a friend who had similar issues. Quality is extremely poor. Now I'm regretting buying this expensive microwave. My previous $150 microwave lasts about 6 years and still working.

We had a home built a couple years ago and they installed this microwave. Now the bottom right LED bar thing is burned out so it's hard to tell what the last number is. We are outside the 1 year builder warranty so I guess we'll have to pay $180 for a new display. Totally unacceptable. This is my first GE Profile microwave and I can tell you it is DEFINITELY going to be my last. Very disappointed.

Power level is lower than my previous microwave, so food takes longer to cook, cooking time on timer needs to be increased. Flexible membrane on control panel requires additional pressure to engage (click) as compared to prior microwave, which was a gentle touch to key in the numbers. Metal surface is not fingerprint resistant.

This product does not last long. We had our cabinets build to the dimensions of this appliance with trim and therefore had to buy again when the first one went bad. The second one also needed part replacement within a year and now again after a year it stopped working

Stopped working 3 years after purchase. Was quoted $300+ to try to repair it. Apparently the door sensor it broken so the turntable won't work and the microwave won't heat rendering it useless. Warranty is only 1 year except the heating element. completely unacceptable for a $800 microwave.

This was the only appliance we had while our kitchen was being remodeled and we didn't want to go out to eat all meals. We were able to have baked meals with the convection, broiled, and microwaved items. This was a lifesaver as far as cooking (even if the meals were cooked in the laundry room!)

This is my second GE Profile microwave. The first one I bought in 2007 and loved it. It had great features and seemed to excel at the things I wanted to use it for. I moved, and got a new one for the new space. This one doesn't have the features and the convection oven doesn't cook well.

We've had it just over 4 yrs, and now it's toast. Pretty sure it's the circuit board that's bad, because both the convection feature and the microwave have quit working. Up to now, we have enjoyed this duo oven/microwave a lot, and would give it five stars. But these things ought to last twice this long, and fixing it will cost almost as much as a new one. Very disappointed, so there's the reason for the lower rating.

We bought this to replace an older Profile that was built in.
Of course the saleswoman told us this would fit our opening.
It did fit but opening too big so we had to modify the cabinet
even with trim kit. (Plastic now)
I truly don't understand why GE would make a replacement model in a different size. This is much smaller than previous one.
Have only used microwave and does what it's supposed to.
If this doesn't last longer than my previous one (6 years) I will go to another brand.

I have not read the entire manual, But my husband read it, and we can not use the aluminium to bake with. SO now I have to find some glass pans to bake with. It takes longer to bake than a regular oven seems like to me. I should time this next time.

Bought this unit less than 2 years ago. Started having problems less than a month after the warranty expired. First a segment of the display, then a button, then another button. Sometimes a button might start working again. Then more display digits failed. Now the turntable won't stop turning. To expensive for the value received. Time to replace, but not likely with another GE. Also will have to replace the trim unit as it likely won't work with another brand. Customer care also not helpful.
