I should have listened to the reviews at all of the big box stores on this washer before buying it. It is three times louder than the 13 year old washer it replaced. It is also not made in the U.S. as their website would have you to believe. The lid locking mechanism sounds like a gun going off, and the washer is soooo loud when it runs. I can hear it all over the house. It also just puts a small amount of water on the clothes. STAY AWAY!

This washer is very different from the 18 year old one replaced. It was a very good washer but my new GE has so many updated features. I am so pleased with it that i purchased the matching GE dryer so my appliances would match. The new dryer has fantastic features also. However, I had no problems with my 18 year old dryer. It just did not match my new washer

Awesome washer. Love the delay timer. Super easy to use. If you are buying this as a set just know that the diamond grey on the washer is a dull rough feel and the finish on the dryer is shiny smooth. The finish on both of the tops are shiny smooth. If you place them together in a bright room they do NOT match! Other than that they work fine. Everything comes out feeling soft, clean, and smelling great. MADE IN USA!!!

The cycle completion alert is very soft and difficult to hear. To use the wifi feature requires the extra purchase of a dongle on top of the already high price of the appliances. I purchased the dongle and setup the SmartHQ app on my phone. The completion alert through the app was nice. Then I set the app up on my wife's phone which caused me to loose the use on my phone. I'm not sure why or if it is something easy to resolve, but I was tired of all the hassle. So, I just set a timer on my phone to alert me of completion and let my wife have use of the app. Other than that h assle, the appliance looks and works nice. The wifi capability is a waste of money and more trouble than its worth fooling with.

I was concerned about the water level during the wash / rinse cycle. This is a "deep fill" machine that brings the water level to the top of the drum. Set the machine on "bulky" items. This is important; govt regulations mandate energy efficient machines, you'll be walking around in soapy clothes without a proper rinse cycle The machine makes unfamiliar noises; but it is not particularly loud. I think the machine is a good value. I am going to connect the WFI feature to my cellphone to let me know when the washer stops.

Love this washer and all of its options. I'm 5'1"
And can easily reach in and grab all of the clothes out which has been impossible with other washers.
It also has clean lines and is easy to wipe down. There's not a ton of crevices where dirt can build up.
The only drawback is that it is very loud- I can't run it at night when the house is quiet.

All of my GE washers over the 54 years I've been married have had End of Cycle loud alarms I just bought a very expensive new GE washer with no alarm. Not happy. Also not happy with the fill cycle. I'd rather do it my self. Not covering clothing and leaves bubbles that did not move as far as I could see. Not happy. Other than that it's OK.

I love it's eco friendly washing. When you start a wash and the drum fills with water submerging your clothes, it puts just enough water to cover your clothes and that's it. It's crazy how little it uses and how good it comes out smelling !
