I am very happy with this cooktop except for the the fact that it seems to take longer to cook and boil a then my old electric stove. I presume I just need to get used to it. Also the right knob has a ring that is under the knob and it was loose within 1 week.

I love my new cooktop! It works great and has been a lot of fun to use! I took 1 star away because it's kind of a stretch from the edge of the counter to the burners. I wish they made a comparable model with the dials on the side. My pots are also a bit crowded when using adjoining burners. Thankfully, I rarely need that many burners.

When you have a larger pot on the front burner, the on/off knobs get very hot, almost too hot to touch. Also, 5 burners on a 30 inch cooktop is not viable.... unless all the pots are super small, you really can't have more than 3 at a time on the cooktop. It works fine, but I'm disappointed.

I purchased this cooktop in November 2017 for my kitchen remodel and the we loved it. Easy to clean, no staining and the lights are a nice touch. We ended up selling this home and in the process some thieves loved it too and they took it. Needless to say I purchased another one for the new bbn owner. Only complaint is one metal grate has mildly warped from heat so pans don't sit level without rocking. Annoying when sauté ingredients slosh to one side. Perhaps grates could be better tempered to remain as cast. Otherwise, slick look and ease of use.

I replaced an old 4 burner gas cooktop from the early 2000's with this one. It's amazing the way you can control the flame with this unit, and especially the dual power burner and the dual even flame one. Lights up immediately and throws out some massive heat. I love the white ring LED lights under the burner controls, well worth the upgrade from the other Kitchenaid units. The rear left one is delicate enough to melt butter without burning it! When cleaning time comes, it's so easy to clean up with Clorox wipes.

We had our cooktop installed a few months ago and there are so many aspects we love about it. It should be noted that the middle burner makes a popping sound when on. We've had it serviced and although the sound went away for a short while, its back and louder. Please note, however, the burner options are awesome and it has an incredible ability to cook evenly.

I purchased within the past month. So far so good. It's easy to clean, looks nice. Love the griddle and extra burner. I'm still experimenting with the controls. It's especially difficulty to do a perfect over easy fried egg, but with all the options in burner configurations, I have no doubt I'll get there. I hope I will feel the same after years of use. Summer control are very useful as is the led lighting on the burner knobs.

I've only had the cooktop for a couple weeks and so far so good. It looks great and I'm impressed at how well KitchenAid was able to space the 5 burners with only 30" to work with. I replaced an electric cooktop and this is night and day. Pans heat up very evenly and temperature response is almost instant. No more burning rice to the bottom on a pan. The only issue I have so far is that when a pot is on top of the middle burner the gas makes an annoying buffeting sound. There are several adjustments that can be made on the burner but I haven't gotten to that yet. Other than that I couldn't have asked for a better cooktop.

We have lived in 12 places in 24 years, 1/2 of those homes had a leading USA competitors product that builders often commit to. A few years back, in a different home, we also bought what I like to call the "beta" version of this cooktop. I have also used "professional" cooktops. I make EVERYTHING from scratch due to severe food allergies in the family, so I have a lot of hours with each device and strong opinions about them all. I dare to say that this is the BEST cooktop I have had the chance to interact with. Kitchen Aid has significantly improved the product from a few years back. The burners are amazing with precise heat control, and I love love love the even heat burner on the front right, it is life changing, as well as a true melt on the back left. For a 30" cut out, the layout is very good, and most large pots and pans can be used well together. An improved feature I love is the factory finish on the stainless steal, so cleaning up after cooking is just a damp soft towel followed by a microfiber dry one. Bam done. No more hours and hours of my life cleaning the cooktop. The grill and burner caps are almost as equally easy, even when the kids or my husband are cooking and there is a huge disaster mess. A little soap and water with a toothbrush and you can move on with your life. If you are on the fence between some other posh choices, let me help, because I have cooked with them all, go with this one. My last top of the line, builder choice was a 5 burner, but all the pots did not fit, it took 30-45 min to boil water (this KA takes me 6-12min), it was a nightmare to clean, and the 5th burner worked when it was in the mood even after the certified fix it guy came repeatedly. The "professional" one is a nightmare to clean, get the screwdriver out then scrub till your fingers bleed. I could not be happier with this cook top.

We bought our cooktop about a month ago and could not be happier! I'm still learning the different options on each eye. We have always had an electric cooktop and now that we have gas, and 5 burners, I love to cook!!

We finally had our stovetop changed from electric to gas and we're so glad we did. We grew up with gas stoves in MD but that was not an option in our home in AL. We love this cooktop and will use it often.

So far I am pleased with my new gas cooktop. I have wanted gas for a very long time, but there has been a learning curve to using it with as much success as I had with my glass "electric" cooktop. My only real user complaint is that t does take much longer to boil water because the grates are very far away from the flame, but if you fill your pot with hot tap water this will help speed it up.
Pros: I love that foods don't burn, stick to pans, or boil over like they did with electric, you have much more control over the cooking temperature and this stove offers lots of different flame size options, very nice looking, has sturdy grates and is easy to clean.
Cons, it does heat up the kitchen, takes longer to boil water, the 30" is very limited on space so it's hard to fit larger pot and pans at the same time.

Finally found a 30" cooktop with a few good simmer options. Was very limited in choices for something seen on a more expensive competitor whose cutout was 1/2" more than allowed. This Kitchenaid has all the functions I wanted; 3 good simmer burners, sturdy knobs with lights to indicate on/off, a griddle and 5 burners. To top it all, it is very easy to clean! Highly recommend!
