I've owned this refrigerator for about 3 months and every time I open it, I feel like I'm the luckiest women in the world! It is extremely sound and efficient and has so many well thought-out compartments for anything that needs refrigerated...even a sealed cylinder for herbs! The drawers are xtra large and it has sooo many more unique drawers for yogurt, limes, lemons, fruit, etc., and even has wood grain inside so you, too, can feel like you're the luckiest woman in the world too!

We bought all new Kitchenaid appliances. The fridge had to be replaced because the ice maker was not making ice properly but instead had a big clump of ice. The freezer drawer had frost on it. Had appliance folks out 6 times and finally gave up and got a new one. This new one is working ok but the ice (and we use it every day) still tends to clump on the bottom but we are living with it.

But unreliable. Bought the refrigerator about 4 months ago mostly based on look, functionality and brand. We have been loyal Kitchenaid customers for over 20 years. Less than 2 months after, we noticed the food was spoiling very quickly and upon checking the temperature realized that it was over 50 degrees. After 2 service calls, Kitchenaid agreed to replace the unit with a brand new refrigerator. We have had the new unit for about a month and in the last couple days the inside temperature is AGAIN slowly creeping up, the controls is set for 35 degrees and the actual temperature reads 48 degrees ( verified with 2 different thermometers). Extremely disappointing for an appliance of this price.
I will be contacting Kitchenaid to have this second unit repaired, the inconvenience and wasted food is piling up !

Our 7 year old KitchenAid died from a freon leak, but I love the Whirlpool/KitchcenAid refrigerator design and the quiet condenser. It fits a 36 by 72 inch opening perfectly. The interior design is lots of fun to use and it holds an amazing amount of food and beverage. The ice making handled a party of six over Thanksgiving with ease. How long will it hold up? We will see.

I bought a whole suite of Kitchenaid appliances for my house, based around the wonderful experience I had purchasing a commercial dual fuel range about 6 years ago. I didn't want to spend this much on a refrigerator-but it was beautiful. Looks great, so far it's been operating well and it even has a soft close freezer.

I bought this 2 months ago, it was expensive, but it looked incredible. The function, features, and very high quality construction are incredible. No flimsy plastic, everything seems slightly over engineered to last. The feature to avoid smudges really works compared to old fridge which got smudges just looking at it. Biggest selling point, aside from quality, was that it's American Made. I have noticed that the vegie drawers, which have some filter to slow down spoiling, really work! Normally small tomatoes in old fridge wouldn't last more than about 4 to 5 days before shrinking. I went out of town for 2 weeks and could barely tell they were starting to age. The smaller ice cubes are really cool and more usable. Although this fridge was costly, it was well worth the money, a joy to use.

I purchased this refrigerator because of the way the doors closed and the handles. It is absolutely beautiful and we like it. It was to come with a wine rack but now they say it does not. Instead you have an expensive butter dish. The lighting is excellent. I hate the bottom pull out. Same as all the others - can't hold much and it's packed before you know it. I love the no finger prints but still upset over the wine rack. I was told it came with one but not. If you want to spend a lot of money this is for you. I am not that happy.

I bought this refrigerator several weeks ago replacing a side-by-side (10 years old) and have been quite pleased with its performance. First of all, it is a gorgeous appliance but in addition to that pretty face is an excellent-designed appliance. I love cooking and do so daily so appliances are important to me. I have seen a difference in how long fresh produce lasts in this fridge. The drawers are tightly sealed keeping produce fresher. Not only does it have a water filter but also an air filter. I also appreciate the LED lights inside the unit and how quietly it operates. Well done KitchenAid! BTW, if you get the print shield finish, do not use any type of solvent you might use on other SS appliances. The print shield finish will be ruined otherwise. I use a little dish detergent/hot water and microfiber towels to clean mine. It does have WIFI capability but I don't use it so cannot comment.

I do like this refrigerator . I do not like that the shelves can't move very much. The only place u can put milk cartons or tall bottles is right up front and only room for 3-4 bottles.
The other shelves can only hold small items.

I have had this refrig a little over a week. I love the layout of the interior. Food is easily visible and likely will not be wasted. The drawers even have lights which makes visibility that much better. The PrintShield is wonderful! There is quite a quality difference between this refrig and brand "x" that I replaced. Love it!

We love our new fridge because of how spacious it is, and how user friendly the controls/features are.
Different compartments make it easy to stay organized, the filters are great for water dispenser, smells and to keep the air fresh (no odours), the look is just sp sleek with our wooden finished AND the inner panel control is so intuitive and easy to use!
We've only been using the fridge a month sp I can't speak to reliability/endurance, but we're really happy with our choice so far.
The Print Shield is a MUST!! This is keeping me sane, my husband is not so cognizant of finger prints, so I'm happy I dont have to clean after him every time he touches the darn thing.

Love this refrigerator. It holds so much for a counter depth. I couldn't be happier. The redesigned water dispenser prevents drips down the front. The print shield finish keeps it looking like new. Even love the new shape of ice cubes! Inside is very upscale.

I've always thought a refrigerator was just a big box to keep things cold and provide ice. This one has completely changed the way I view them. From the sleek and stylish exterior to the beautifully lit interior with wood trim, this appliance exceeded all my expectations. It is the perfect blend of modern style and function. Bonus: the ice dispenses in small, perfectly sized cubes and the water dispenser never drips! WIN - WIN, KitchenAid!

Broke after 24 months

We have been using this refrigerator for 24 months and the compressor has completely broken down and needs to be replaced. This means the fridge and freezer components have both stopped working and we lost everything inside.
When the repair technician came he originally thought it the entire control panel needed to be replaced and when we said after two years he told us that it happens all of the time because of all of the high tech features that come with these fridges.
2 years of use and then it starts to break down with no warranty from kitchen aid. You are out of pocket for repairs after the first year.
I feel stupid for paying extra money for this 'high quality' brand. Our last fridge was extremely old and nothing fancy and worked until the day we replaced it.
These appliances should have a recall if the technicians are saying it happens all the time.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND.

I do love this frig....roomy, easy to find things, a place for everything..It is quiet, looks clean, and the water and ice part work great..ice does not clog....you dont have to keep emptying it week after week....I have had no problems at all....the look is clean, which i like....the print shield? wonderful.....I never have to wipe off finger prints or anything.....

Overall great refrigerator with lots of room for cold and frozen food. However seems the water pressure in my house is too high so I e maker and water dispenser does not work. Hopefully to be fixed with the second service visit.

Whatever genius designed this refrigerator needs to rethink the design. The shelves are not adjustable in height leaving bottle storage to a small area on the doors. This is patently inane.

I purchased the refrigerator because it is beautiful. I love the wood finishes inside and the LED lighting. The doors don't sit flush and level with each other and there is a tool to help with that but it doesn't work. Besides that, great fridge.
