This hood made a big impact on my kitchen renovation. I love the simple look and clean lines. Having 3 fan speeds is a big plus, but the buttons for the fan speeds don't seem to work quite right bc multiple speeds can be on at once?

I bought all of my kitchen appliances from KitchenAid. I'm happy with my purchase. It does what it should do. The only thing I wish is for it to be quieter and that you don't have to change filters. Love the simplicity and ease of use. The design is very nice.

We were really looking forward to this hood fan, it looks great and is quiet - the features we wish it had was a variance in the light intensity (high/low) and if the fan speed is changed that the other buttons would release on their own instead of manually pushing them on/off. It is also a bit hard to discern how much the hood fan can draw out but that may be because it is so quiet. Our hood fan stopped working about a week ago altogether - until we find out what the issue is I cannot recommend this product.

Installed 2 months ago, this exhaust is lovely. Wish it had a light to shine directly on the backsplash, but the 2 lights it does have are very bright and helpful when cooking. Exhaust noise level is great, only really audible on high.

We had this kitchen hood installed when we remodeled our kitchen in the summer of 2017. In December of 2017, the lights stopped working on the hood. The local service company for Kitchenaid came out and determined that the light kit needed to be replaced, which they did at that time. Then in June of 2018, the lights were only working intermittently, so another tech came out from the same service company. Of course he couldn't find anything wrong at the time. Two weeks later, the lights went out completely again. A third time a tech came out today and he felt some wires were not properly secured when the kit was changed out so he strapped them together. Not even 10 minutes after he left, the lights went out completely yet again. Called the service company immediately to see if he could come back, but he could not and we now have to take a FOURTH day off work so they can come back and assess. We strongly feel that this hood is defective and Kitchenaid refuses to replace it. As a kitchen designer familiar with most major appliance brands, I have never had this many issues with ANY other brand of hood. This is very disappointing that they have failed to properly address this issue and that we are repeatedly forced to take time off work to wait for servicing, which does NOT solve the problem. If you buy this hood, I strongly suggest that you get the extended warranty because you will probably need it.

I purchase this hood in February but it wasn't installed (or taken out of the box) for several months. When the electrician installed it, there were two dimples on the vent stack part of the hood. I purchased from Menards and they wouldn't do anything about the damage and said to contact Kitchen Aid. When I did, I was told because it was already installed they wouldn't replace the part. Also, when I cook meat on the gas range, the smell lingers in my home for 3 days. My hood is vented outside. I don't know how to prevent the cooking odor except not to cook meat inside the home. That's pretty incovenient.
Needless to say, my stack still has dimples. I just spent over $10,000 on kitchen aid appliances and a total of $80,000 on a main level remodel. I can't say I know if I could have gotten something better in the price range.

Hood is finally mounted, but instructions are bad at best. I have been remodeling homes my whole life (50 + years) and it took me most of the day to get this hood installed. Then after verifying everything was correct, the lights didnt work so then I contacted KitchenAid to get a service appointment for a tech to come onsite and tell me the switch was bad. Not very good product testing on this.

We bought our Kitchenaid vent hood in May and love it. We do a lot of cooking and this hood does a fantastic job keeping the kitchen free of smoke and cooking odors. A 180 degree difference from our old exhaust hood from another manufacturer. Also so quiet!!! We can actually carry on a conversation now with the vent hood at high speed.

Must be used in highest speed to make a difference, even on speed 3 it's hard to notice anything sucked in but it does make a difference compared to a recirculating microwave fan.
