The entire reason we purchased Maytag was the supposed reliability?..then he tells me I may need to pay for the service call. Whatever. Looks like I will be returning this junk.

With so many choices out there, I'm happy that I chose this dryer (and the companion washer). This laundry pair replaced a three year-old laundry pair made by a different manufacturer (to be completely honest, the previous laundry pair was included when I sold my previous home). Great features, made in the USA, and a retailer (Best Buy) that offers price match made the purchase decision an easy one for me. Only missing one feature that the previous dryer had...that being an interior light when the door is opened. Maybe Maytag offers the interior light on a different model. Even though I miss the interior light, the performance has convinced me that I made The Right Choice!

We had to retire our 11 year-old Maytag recently and this new model really is very high quality for the price. We love the features and extra power. The design is also very sturdy as the door hinge is actual metal vs other brands that use plastic. The control panel is very user-friendly and the Extra Power feature works very well with towels and other harder to dry items.

I purchased a new washer and dryer a month ago. I really liked my old set of Maytags, so I decided to stay with the Maytag brand. I have been happy with my new set. The dryer has a lot of setting choices and I like the sensor, too. The fact that the rollers make a lot of noise initially in the cycle is the reason that I didn't give it all 5 stars. I think you will be happy with it also!

I thought Maytag was the best of the best. My dryer was delivered broken; excessively noisy and sounds like a chain saw. The dealer who sold it to me as "repaired" it several times already, and it always reverts back to the excessive noise. Six months after purchasing, they've given up and I don't know what to do. Oh, and BTW, the washer is broken too! So disappointed.

We recently purchased the Maytag Gas Dryer after having a different brand for 9 years and having numerous issues with it. We went back to the Maytag (after owning one for 18 years) and love it. Someone call a doctor. My new gas dryer keeps coding. I have had the repairman out 3 times already to run diagnostics and replace parts (sensors, motherboard) The repairman will have to come out again because the codes F#E# keep coming up. The dryer will not dry a full load of clothes. I have to divide in half to get them to dry without coding. Once the codes starts, you have to shut down take out the wet clothes and start again. This dryer is too new and too heavy duty to be in this bad shape. I called Lowes to get a replacement and they have washed their hands already telling me we have had it over 30 days. Heck, it took two weeks to for them to deliver the dryer after we purchased it. We went on a two week vacation. By the time I installed the dryer, it was already a month old and the first load had not been started. Then BOOM, the dryer coded on the first load. At what point do we stop trying to resuscitate this gas dryer get a replacement?

I bought this dryer over a month ago at Lowes. It took two weeks to be delivered to our home the evening before we were leaving for vacation. So it was installed a week and a half later. After 5 minutes into the drying cycle I got an E3 F3 error code and the dryer stopped working. I tried a could of times but it would no go more than 5 minutes. I called service and it took couple of weeks to get someone in to check it. They indicated that they needed to order a part and it took almost a week for that to come in. In the meantime I kept working with the dryer and got it to work sometimes. After the repairman came and did a pretty good once-over, he said that he could find nothing wrong with it. They are keeping the ticket open and I am going to keep using it and see what happens. But I have lost confidence and would never leave the house with it running at this time.

I purchased unit so that it could be stacked on top of Maytag washer (purchased at same time). Because the controls are so high, it is somewhat difficult for a person 6 feet tall to see the controls. It is nearly impossible for someone 5 feet tall. I am not sure I would recommend the stacking feature to a shorter person.

Purchased this together with the matching washing machine. Turned it on and it sounded like there was a helicopter in my laundry room. Clothes not drying in a timely manner plus clothes getting snagged-look inside and yes, the finish on the drum is deteriorating. Two service calls later, it's finally replaced. Much quieter but how long will this last? Junk, junk, junk.

Had the washer and dryer installed about 2 weeks ago. Dryer is very easy to use and everything dries very quickly. Love the drying options and it is very quiet.
