Slow to respond, and poor oven temperature control

The burners take forever to transfer heat to my pans. For example, to cook eggs I want my skillet at a medium heat. If I just set the burner to medium, it will take 10+ minutes to get to temperature, which is absurd. So I have to set it to 10, then constantly monitor my pan to see when it reaches the temperature I want. On the flip side, when you, for example bring rice to a boil then want to reduce to gentle simmer, it will continue to boil for 10+ minutes after dropping from 10 to 2.
The oven temperature control is horrible. You can check the actual temperature by turning the oven off, then immediately turning it back on and setting it to any greater than where it actually is. Just this morning, my wife had it at 350 (it had long past reached this temperature). She wanted to increase to 400, and upon doing so learned that it was actually 285 in there.

I bought this oven a little over a year ago, i just cleaned it for the first time with the self cleaning cycle. It caught on fire inside. I am a single guy, this thing was used maybe 3 times MAX. I used the lowest setting, there was no real debris inside the oven, it just needed a good heat up before i baked a cake for thanksgiving. That isn't happening now. Waiting on the door latch to release so i can get the Serial number and call this thing in. What a scary thing to happen, thank god i was down stairs!

The cook top and oven heat up pretty fast. It cooks at an even temp and It's very nice to look at. I am very impressed with this oven and its features. It does take a little bit of time for the top to cool off but there is an indicator to tell you it's hot. When you set the timer in the oven and it goes off the oven shuts off. I love this oven.

I bought this stove for it's sleek look. Within in weeks scratches and discoloration appeared on the PLASTIC and trim around the control panel. This stove looks 20 years old. I have been told by Whirlpool that there is NO WARRANTY for cosmetic issues. Granted, this IS cosmetic, but what a cheap piece of junk! Whirlpool used to be my brand of choice! The scratching and discoloration is ongoing problem. Now the numbers in the control panel are fading out. I am so Fed up! And because I had not purchased the extended warranty Whirlpool was not willing to help!

I am giving this range three stars for the following reasons: The second time we used the stove top, heat only on 5, to warm a cheese quesadilla the burner was left with 3 quarter size marks. These marks were not spilled food but rather marks that appear to be on the inside of the top. We let it cool, first used a combo of vinegar and water to see if it was in fact grease (not sure how it would be?). Then when that did not work, we used a special stove top cleaner. It was still there. My husband then tried with a different rag and water and yet it remains.
The second reason for the 3 stars is the racks in the oven are very flimsy and cheap. Maybe I am accustom to older models, but everything slides around - whether we are using a glass pan, or cookie sheet.
I give this model an average rating based off of the above information.

This has been a great purchase for me. Because I am in a wheelchair, my previous stove was not working for me. I had to reach over the stove eyes to turn on and turn off the eyes, and if I wanted to adjust the temperature I had to reach over hot stove eyes. With the new Whirlpool with the controls on the front, I don't have to worry about reaching over hot stove eyes and risk getting burned.
I am enjoying how fast the stove eyes get hot as well as how fast the oven preheats.

This range was in the house we purchased a year ago, and we haven't had the greatest luck. The burners are very inconsistent and don't cool fast enough, making food boil over. The oven seems to run hot and leads to burning food. And recently we've been noticing a black burn-looking mark on our stone backsplash. The spot pictured gets very, very hot and we're a little worried this could lead to a fire. Not sure why it's doing this, but if anyone has any ideas on what is causing this/how to fix it, we'd be all ears!

I have had this stove for LESS THAN A YEAR and within 4 months the finish rubbed off/chipped around the control panel; this should have all been stainless, not painted. Also, I have had to replace the motherboard and temp probe TWICE in less than a year. Not impressed.

My stove came with my house I did not pick it. The door has to be pushed in with a little muscle. The top heats up fast. The food must be place in the center for even cooking. The cleaning of the cook top is non existent. I notice white streaks and I have been unable to remove them. Horrible to keep cook top clean.

I researched this range and immediately was impressed with the clean lines, and modern features, which included no knobs and variable burner size allowing you to chose your front burner heating size depending on the dimensions of your pots and pans. What wonderful features! The range is easy to use, and the ceramic glass cooktop is just as easy to clean. I have used the range and oven several times since it was installed last week, and so far am very pleased with its performance. The oven does seem to take a bit longer to preheat than the previous GE range I had that came with the house I had purchased, but it bakes evenly, within the recipe's recommended baking timeframe, and there was barely any noticeable odor from the oven the first time it was used, even though the manufacturer's instructions indicate this may occur. This range coordinates beautifully with the Whirlpool French door refrigerator, microwave/convection, and dishwasher that were purchased together to complete my kitchen remodel. I have had Whirlpool appliances in the past and was very satisfied with their performance and reliability. This confidence helped in my decision to purchase this new Whirlpool range and the other three kitchen appliances.

This is a great range. It is easy to use, intuitive, lots of features, looks great and is a good value. The range top is hard to keep clean however. Because the top is glass it shows ANY dirt. We have dirt, so it shown.

We remodeled our kitchen and chose this range for its flat design which goes with the bar counter on either side of it. It is perfect! Unlike the glass top stoves Of old, it is a breeze to keep on like-new condition. It cooks beautifully, heats quickly, and has so many handy functions that I actually enjoy using my range again! The no-preheat Oven for pizzas and the like is a genius idea! All in all, we couldn't be more thrilled!

It is the low end model that performs well. The top heats quickly and efficiently with descent control for being electric. The oven heats painfully slow. It performs well and cooks evenly. Just remember to start the oven early to heat up!

This range is very nice, the ceramic top is easy to clean. It looks great and so far works great. Only problem is the range extends out a little more than our cabinets, still doesn't look bad.

Door Trim falling off!!

Purchased range 01/11/2019. Purchased extended warranty. About April 24, 2019 noticed that the stainless steel trim was coming loose on range door. My wife called the service phone number. Person who answered told my wife that you would charge $80.00 min. for the service call and then additional for the parts and time for repair! We cancelled the extended warranty. Probably last Whirlpool appliance we will purchase.
