Installed with some prep-work by myself...Venting matched perfectly to the old oven vent, luckily for me.
Upon receipt called and asked for a mailed manual and customer service in Michigan
provided. It states to use the "start" button, when in fact there is no "start" button, just a 30 second button which obviously is the "start" button. (Odd) Also surprised by the no LED
light bulb under the base of the microwave. Yet, it is beautiful in black, sleek and no
cabinet moving had to occur in order to fit the space.

So glad I could get an above the stove microwave. Replaces hood & love the fan & light. Took a little while to get used to the number features, old one just set time, didn't have the number features. Plenty of room to fit all bowls I use for baking, cooking or heating.

We needed a microwave and didn't wanted want one on our countertop. I regular size undermount cabinet microwave would not have fit. We seen this one and it had the clearance from the stove that we needed. Love all the features and I am impressed with the room inside the microwave.

Venting leaks air out the top of the microwave

I just had this microwave installed and was worried about some reviews that when venting outside the house through the roof or wall, there is air leaking out the top of the microwave back into the house and should be venting outside. That's the nice thing about having vents that can go outside. Not having to have the air pushed back inside your house.
I called whirlpool and they said the installers didn't install it correctly. I called the installers and they believe they installed it correctly. But considering the reviews that I read about the venting issues for homes that can vent outside this is a huge disappointment. I was really excited about getting this microwave installed for both venting and the sleek compact design. :( :( :(

We purchased a new home expecting to put a new microwave over the oven like we had before until we noticed how big the top cabinets were. We searched online and then found this PERFECT option for us! We had never seen this kind of microwave before and were very skeptical about purchasing something over budget not knowing if it would work in that area. We decided to purchase and it ended up being perfect! The microwave is so modern and sleek, buttons are very easy to press. A cool feature is that the noises aren't the normal BEEP, its a cute little chime instead. When we first saw this we were scared about losing "space" but you can fit just about anything in this. We haven't had a problem with casserole dishes, big serving bowls, mugs, popcorn bags. It is so big inside surprisingly!!!

I really like my new microwave. It is much quieter than the old one. It works well with my older refurbished 1969 cabinetry and I can finally place my large stockpot on the burner without banging into the mw door. My only complaint is that the shiny black shows EVERY fingerprint so I keep a microfiber cloth handy. Why is there an extra $100 for the white model?

The low profile microwave is perfect!The salesman showed me how, despite it's small size, it still handles every size food from a casserole to a roast. The clean lines, and minimal, visual controls adds to the beauty of this sleek microwave! The sweet chimes that tells me the cooking process is complete is so much more pleasing than the usual "ding" we are familiar with.

I love how the microwave fit over the range. It leaves lots of room to cook. The only thing I would change is to have a way to lock the buttons so when cleaning the outside the buttons would not go off. Light and fan go on continously while wiping it down. So annoying. But I still love it.

Our mid-90s era home did not have an over the range microwave, just a range hood. This 1.1 Cu Ft microwave provided a great alternative to raising or replacing the cabinet. I installed it myself with a little help from my wife. Two lifters vs one would have been better. The unit does end up with the opening and turntable being a bit high but workable

Purchased a different make and different size. The microwave was going to be way too large. I think you should advertise this model and really zero in on the size! Even though the unit itself is smaller it is large enough for all my casseroles and microwave serving dishes. I also love-love the buttons on the inside of the door. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Just thought it was too pricey.
