Since it is our first side by side it took a while to figure out the best way to utilize the space in it. We only have one complaint, the ice maker makes way to much noise while dispensing ice and I don't mean crushing ice. Just dispensing. I don't like using it when my wife is sleeping. It makes a knocking noise occasionally.

We bought this fridge a week ago. So far so good. Love the ice (cubed and crushed) on the door as well as the water. The outside is not that difficult to keep clean. I bought a stainless steel cleaner from the applicance store and all is good. Only issue is the top of the fridge doors are not perfectly lined up. The one is a bit higher...eventhough the handles on the doors are lined up perfectly. I guess this is something that I will need to get used to. Overall I recommend this fridge. Lots of usable space inside..only thing I would like to see improved is more adjustments on the fridge shelves. Only options now are to remove a shelf if you need to place something tall on a shelf.

replaced my old refrigerator after 25 years with this one. This is the second one. The first one they brought had defective waterline that leaked and had to wait 2 weeks for a new one. Had this one couple weeks now and seems to work well. got same features I had on my old one. lit well inside and keeps temp well. Shelving not as adjustable as I would like but has 3 drawers where I only had 2 before.

We were hesitant to purchase this refrigerator after reading several negative reviews. Since it was one of three that would fit our space, we purchased it. We have no regrets as it does everything it is supposed to. The water dispenser located in front of the ice dispenser makes it easy to fill containers taller than a glass. There are two improvements that would make this model better. First would be adjustable shelves in the refrigerator (the door has adjustable shelves), second would be a fingerprint resistant finish on the doors. We have had no problems with the refrigerator making loud noises. or water dripping from the dispenser as we read about in several reviews.

We've had our refrigerator installed now for about 3 weeks and we really enjoy it. The refrigerator it replaced was a very old Amana refrigerator (the water and ice dispensers hadn't worked for years). We are happy with the water filtration and being able to easily access water and ice via the dispenser. I'd say the noise levels of the Whirlpool and the old Amana are about the same. It's only noticeable when ice is finished freezing and the ice drops into the holding tray, when the ice maker is being re-filled with water, or when you open the refrigerator and then close it and it has to cool down again for a few minutes. The water dispenser location takes a little bit to get used to, since it is in front of the ice dispenser. Overall, we are very satisfied customers.

I recently bought a Whirlpool Fridge, to replace my ancient fridge. I am impressed with the visibility - I can see everything in the fridge - without having to move items. The drawers are see-through and the lighting is excellent.
There's plenty of room, adjustable shelves.
I've never had an ice/water dispenser, and was worried that it would taste 'off'. I was pleasantly surprised. Smart design - water in front of the ice, instead of some side by side dispensers I've seen. Works well.
My previous fridge lasted 27 years - hoping the same for this one.

I have had this refrigerator for one week and I really like it. It is a little louder than my old one but I am used to it now. ( I never had an ice maker before, it is not as loud as when I manually unloaded ice from my ice cube trays into a bin lol). The fridge side is very spacious for a 33 inch but the freezer side is pretty small, I don't freeze a lot of things and it is just myself and my husband so it works. I didn't get the fingerprint resistant and had to buy affresh cleaner because nothing else worked. Affresh works great! I was told that the resistant finish is actually a paint so I am glad I got the regular one. The ice dispenser takes some getting used to but I love it, it has cubed and crushed and the water comes out very fast. The interior lighting is great and it is an energy star appliance. I had limited choices because of the size of my opening and this one was perfect for me. I replaced a 15 year old Amana that was still working so time will tell if this new one lives up to my old one. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes an ice cube will randomly fall out of the dispenser and because I have only had it for a week.

Not a lot of options for a side-by-side fridge in this size, but this one is decent. The freezer is a bit on the small side, but it makes and holds quite a lot of ice. The only drawbacks are that the shelves aren't adjustable - there are only preset locations (the door bins are adjustable though), and the noise of it. It seems to constantly run and it is quite a bit louder than any other fridge I've ever had. It's not horrible, but it's a very noticeable constant hum that I can hear even from a ways away. Also it picks up fingerprints and smudges and such pretty easily, but that's to be expected I guess. It is a nice-looking appliance though!

I bought this side by side refrigerator less than a month ago switching over from the other style, freezer on top. I love the temperature control settings for both fridge and freezer as they are very sensitive and there is no guess work. The ice maker and water dispenser work very well, giving options for crushed or cubes. The refrigerator door is deep with a lot of storage space. The only reason I did not give this refrigerator 5 stars is because the inner shelves are not adjustable so my taller items I have to put in the door and some of these items are heavy and I'd rather have them in the main central refrigerator. Overall I am very happy with this refrigerator.

Good fridge, except:
1) the water dispenser spout is installed far out, almost beyond the freezer door, and the drip tray doesn't catch the drips, so there is a constant water stain down the freezer door. If there was an additional tray to purchase which extends a little, I would purchase.
2) as soon as the fridge door opens, the fridge floods with condensation like no other fridge I've seen. Not sure if there's a way to prevent this, any feedback would be great.
Other than those two negatives, the fridge is good.

We were told by the salesman that it was fingerprint resistant, but it really, really isn't. I have to use stainless steel cleaner to get rid of them. The self-adjusting doors don't line up with each other.

The door shelves fall off the door constantly-- lots of broken glass jars. One shelve itself broke when it fell as well. Also, the ice dispenser broke within 7 months. The quality is disappointing. Unfortunately, it's the only fridge on the market that fits our space correctly.

I bought this black fridge 3 months ago. When it arrived I assumed the hinge covers were missing, however, I found out this is how it is suppose to look. I called the store where I purchased it and they told me to deal with Whirlpool, which I did. The customer service was very understanding and listened to my frustration. But in the end, they said this is the way it is manufactured and there was nothing they could do for me and recommended I contact the dealer again. They did however say they would register my compliant which basically means sorry about your luck. I have included a picture of what mine looks like and the image from the Whirlpool internet site as you can see, they is a big discrepancy. Do not buy this fridge, as it looks cheap and poorly manufactured.

We had limited space for a new refrigerator, and we wanted one with a door ice/water dispenser. This fridge fits perfectly in our kitchen, and we are happy with it with the exception of a couple things. It is REALLY small inside. The freezer is tiny, but we have a chest freezer in our garage, so that's not too problematic. Also, you can't adjust the shelves in the fridge up or down. I have to put milk jugs, orange juice, etc. on the door shelf, which is big enough to put a gallon of milk on. I think because there is so much weight on the door, it tends to swing open really hard. Also, when getting water from the door water dispenser, if you don't hold the cup there for a few seconds after getting your water, it will drip all down the front of the door. Overall, I would recommend it if you need a decent fridge for a small space.

Solid but loud Fridge

So far the fridge has worked well and does what it needs to do. I would rate this fridge a 5 star but the buzz of the freezer to keep it cool is very loud. For reference it is louder than my dishwasher when it runs. Had it checked out and serviceman said these whirlpools were made this way. If you always have music on in the kitchen then the noise then is not so bad.

I bought this last month and couldn't be happier. Easy controls and it is awesome to have ice and filtered water whenever. No more messing with old ice cube trays and running out of ice!!

Our other refrigerator stopped working just as we were beginning our remodel of our kitchen. Other than having to wait a couple weeks for it to come in and also for the work to be completed we are very satisfied. We were limited on selection of models due to the size of the space allotted for the fridge. We actually could use a little more space inside but due to size limitations and my wanting to have a side by side our options were limited.

The shelves and drawers cracked with in 6 months. the ice maker freezes up all the time or does not even make ice. I wish I still had my old refrigerator.
