The best thing is not having to pre-rinse everything before it goes in the dishwasher. This was tough to adjust to, but everything comes out super-clean with nothing stuck to it. The top drawer for silverware is a great space-saver since the bottom silverware container isn't required; this frees up extra space for larger items. I used to handwash more pots, however with the extra space it has allowed me to put almost everything in the dishwasher. So far, so good!!!

This dishwasher is great. We love having the third level for silverware and small items like lids. The second tire is adjustable allowing for larger items on the bottom tier. It cleans amazing and is so quiet. Having the cabinet front gives a sleek and hidden look to our island. Would highly recommend!

Very quiet, does a great job cleaning the dishes to a sparkle. My only gripe is a biggie. There is something wrong with the closing latch, and it seems to be a common issue. The unit stops midcycle if it is not shut fully. Very hard to determine if its latched properly, so its kind of a crap shoot. First few times we thought we were sold a defective unit until we got the hang of it. It seems to be a common problem. Minus that, its a great unit.

We bought this product based on the review my parents gave us, regarding their Bosch dishwasher. However, we have been less than impressed. Very frequently, the dishwasher will not complete the cycle; leaving 1-minute left on the cycle and 'stalling'. Sometimes this happens on the 'normal' cycle and sometimes it has occured on the 'speed 60' cycle. To say it is frustrating is an understatement. My very handy husband has trouble shooted many possible causes for this issue, with no improvement. We have now scheduled a service repair to hopefully address the issue.

I purchased a brand new Bosch dishwasher. It frequently does not disolve the dishwasher tabs. I have been using the Finish Tabs recommended by the manufacturer and still it does not work. The worst part is that I have been trying for weeks to get a Bosch technician to come fix the dishwasher and I keep getting the runaround from Bosch. So disappointing. I would never purchase another Bosch product again ever.

We installed this unit as a panel ready. The instructions for the panel were a bit wonky. However, we did figure it out and it works just fine. The key is to know how it should look with the surrounding cabinets. The dishwasher is very quiet. Almost too quiet you don't know if it's running without the red light. In cleans remarkably well. Very well-built German dishwasher. I would highly recommend it, and also would purchase it all over again. The crystal dry feature works amazingly well. Without heat!

We've wanted one of these machines for YEARS. We just built a new home and finally purchased one and we are so glad we did! It cleans amazingly well and actually dries the dishes! The only time we have a little residual water is if an item as an obvious way to retain the water, like a glass with a dip pitted bottom. The only complaint I have is though the dishes are dry, the inside of machine remains fairly wet. I do leave it open for a bit after emptying sometimes so it can air out. All that said: we'd get this machine again in a heartbeat!

This is a great dishwasher. Especially like the third rack ( very top) for utensils and small objects. No need to use the utensil basket so there's more room for large dishes and pots etc. does a great job cleaning. I got panel ready appliance. I had to wait for my panel to be installed . Hard to use without the panel . Panel must be on or door doesn't stay open.

We had a GE dishwasher when we redid the kitchen that was ok, but nothing special. The dishwasher developed a leak and swelled a portion of the wood floor and ruined a portion of the ceiling downstairs. We haven't been happy with any of the all GE kitchen we have and expect to replace more equipment. We read the reviews and decided on Bosch as a replacement. We are very happy with the results from this machine and we have sparkling dishes.

When we ordered our dishwasher we did not realize how quite it would be. The only way that you can tell that it is running is red light that shines on the floor as it is running. The only complaint that we have had is that we ordered the dishwasher in April 2021 and it was delivered in February 2022. Because of the supply chain issues it took about 10 months for delivery.
We would definately order anotheron if we needed a new dishwasher, Hopefully the supply chain issues are now resolved.

We are enjoying this dishwasher so much! As part of a long-overdue kitchen remodel, we opened up the floor plan on our little 70-year-old farmhouse. This meant we needed to keep the noise down as much as possible because we now watch TV with no sound barriers between us and the kitchen area. This is so quiet you never know it's running. Thank goodness for the red indication light! Our family and friends are very impressed with how quiet it runs and it blends seamlessly into our island design.

We have had Bosch diahwashers for about 15 years. Our first Bosch dishwasher (apartment in city) was a SHY56A02UC model and it was really good, it cleaned very well and we really liked it. I think it was a sub-600 model with a white front and minimal front lcd display which was useful to see the time remaining and that it was on. It was very quiet.
We now have in our house a panel ready front 800 dishwasher. This replaced a non-panel ready 600 which we sold.
The 800 dishwasher works well and is quiet but there are some "features" that are stupid and a downgrade from earlier functionality.
The worst feature is that the dishwasher needs to be RESTARTED after 4 sec of being open. This means that unlike prev dishwashers (both models) you cannot open it insert something and then continue with the cycle. It is maddening to have to continually hard press the start button just to stick a fork or plate in after starting the cycle.
It is DOUBLY MADDENING to need to press start again during a DELAY cycle where you have set the dishwasher to start in 1 hr, 2 hr.
Bosch is presenting this 4 sec limit in their materials as a child-friendly/proof feature. I have 3 kids ages 6-11 and can tell you this is complete rubbish and in fact it is the opposite effect of having UNRUN dishwasher loads due to children.
We are going to manage but Bosch should reverse this feature or make it configurable so the dishwasher delay period is longer, or can be turned off and certainly so it doesn't work that way during the DELAY start.

My first Bosch lasted 13 years and my second 10 years without problems until they developed leaking tubs. This one, I hope, has improved tub sealing. My only complaint is the hot water supply on each model has changed causing a delay in installation until an adapter (not furnished) was obtained.

This is the second BOSCH dishwasher we have owned and we couldn't be happier. We've had other brands over the years that were so loud that they would drive you out of the kitchen. This one is so quiet that it shines a soft red light onto the floor to let you know it's running. I think that says it all.

Dishwasher is very nice and seems to do a great job (we've only had it for 3 weeks). There is a learning curve on starting the dishwasher and I had to watch several YouTube videos to figure it out. On normal cycle, the drying temp is extremely hot - so be careful opening up too soon - I burned my hand on my silverware. Also, I has to call customer service about a part I could not identify - a water sprayer used when middle rack is removed. This info should be included in user instructions. Would buy again, as of now.

This is our second dishwasher from Bosch. We love how quiet they are and also love the 3rd rack. I put all my utensils up there and take out the utensil basket. This gives me more room on the bottom rack for large bowls and baking dishes. Everything comes out clean and dry. Wouldn't buy any other brand!

Waited nearly a year for delivery, but as not good as I expected. Crystal Drying still leaves water. I don't like the how the dividers are designed, not very intuitive on best way to load dishes. There is no indicator to show when the dish drying liquid needs to be refilled. Much better and cheaper options for non-panel ready dishwashers. The postive things are that it's quieter than my previous dishwasher, and it has a on indicator light at the bottom.

LOVE our BOSCH 800 Series Dishwasher. We were skeptical at first when our contractor recommended this dishwasher, but have been pleasantly surprised. Super quiet and cleans beautfiully. This is my second Bosch My first one was fine and worked great ( it was 10 years old) but I need one that I could put the matching cabinet insert. The only trouble I have is starting the cycles. I need to make sure the light is solid and not blinking. Also how do you know when the rinse aid is full before it overflows. Bosch does a great job and it is the only dishwasher I will buy.

After 4 months of use, our SHV878ZD3N dishwasher stopped working because a leak was detected. I'm glad it caught the issue and did not flood our wood floors, but we were without a working dishwasher for 4 weeks. Bosch does not have their own technicians in our area (Minneapolis-St Paul) so we had to wait 4 weeks for a third party repair. It's working now, cleans well, and is very quiet. But disappointed it broke so quickly.

We replaced our 90s Bosch DW which was still working with the current model due to a new kitchen renovation
In short we love it wine glasses are Spotfree with the Crystal dry setting which was why I chose this unit
Silverware looks new and everything just seems to be more sterile
The applied wood panel was easier to install and the connections for plumbing and electrical are placed in a good location. Installation instructions were easy to understand.

The cycle takes about 2.5 hours to complete which is very slow. At the end of that time, the dishes are still wet and the inside of the dishwasher smells swampy. And this is a brand new dishwasher!

This is my second Bosch 800 series dishwasher, that we selected for our second home. The primary difference between this and the original model in our primary home is that this one is panel-front ready, as opposed to stainless steel.
The only issue we had was that the dishwasher would not run after the panel was installed. In aligning the wood panel with our adjacent cabinets, the gap between the top of the wood panel and the underside of our countertopp, was below the required clearance that Bosch requires, by about 1/16". Once I adjusted that, to increase the gap, but have it not be aligned with the adjacent cabinets, it worked.
