We really love this dishwasher It cleans the dishes beautifully with no left over residue. We are having an issue with noise after about an hour of running. However I do have a service call in .. so once that is done Ill let you know how that gets handled. Im thinking LG will handle appropriately

This is a brand new dishwasher and within two weeks had to have a new motor put in. The noise it was making was so bad we had to stop it mid-wash. I bought this dishwasher based on the description of it which stated it was whisper quiet. Even now with the new motor its so loud you can hear it two rooms away and if youre in the kitchen it sounds like youre standing in your shower. Home Depot washes their hands of any responsibility of the appliances they sell after 48 hours of delivery and they dont let their delivery people tell you that so if youre not observant and see it in some notation thats who knows where then they get away with having to provide you a new appliance. In what world does it make sense that someone who received a brand new dishwasher with a bad motor would not be given a new one? Lesson learned. Now I have I issues with the stove I bought at the same time. Im beginning to think they have knowingly delivered me defective products.

We have been using this dishwasher for a few months now and its been working great. We were amazed how much cleaner everything seemed to be. Silverware holder is great has it holds them separated as to where they dont all stack together. Adjustable middle rack is great for washing cutting boards and taller items in the lower rack. Runs very quiet. Lots of washing options that we still havent figured out yet.

Was able to wash 3 loads then got an AE code.
We followed recommendations to fix but didnt work. They had their repair company to contact me and as of March 2 I am still waiting for this brand new over $800 dishwasher to be fixed. So I am still washing dishes by hand after almost a month. They have my money and I have a hunk of junk sitting in my kitchen that doesnt work.

The top control is great very intuitive and I like how its hidden when closed. Very quiet. Its a little thing but the detergent compartment is easy to close and our last machine was very tricky to get the pod compartment closed up. Does the best job cleaning of any machine weve had. The steam feature works well.

Well in having this item for only a couple weeks I honestly cant give a true and honest review. I can say so far it is very quiet seems to clean as would be expected from a dishwasher. Since nothing is perfect so it is doing what it should be doing. I can give a truly honest review after the newness and the time needed to give it real world usage sets in.
Newness/emotions shouldnt dictate an honest evaluation. After all the glimmer and sparkle wears off I will give a more in depth review on this item.

Toast at 1 year 3 months We are a family of 4 who try to eat at home as often as possible we run our dishwasher 1x a day which is assumed pretty typical for a family of 4. From day one the dishwasher had to be run on the heavy setting with the steam option and the high temp option on in order for the dishes to come out even remotely clean. Even with these on there was always a dish or 3 that needed to be rewatched. After a visit from an LG service technician in the beginning due to not being happy with performance we were told us to only use Finish brand detergent previously using cascade and after making the switch we were down to only 1 dish each wash in need of rewashing. Mind you there is no dried on food on our dishes we do a quick pass under the faucet and then the dishwasher is ran everyday. Also important to note is that even with the extra dry option on the dishes come out so wet they need to air dry overnight min of 5-6 hours sometimes more like 8-10 hours and we do not use a humidifier in our house on drying mats on our counter before they can be put away without causing water damage to our cabinets or they have to be hand dried which we unfortunately do not have time to dedicate to doing every day. Fast forward to the 1 year mark and the dishwasher started making a very loud what we would call helicopter noise shortly after the noise started many dishes started coming out of the wash completely dirty. LG phone support concluded possibly the motor bearings or motor and even though these should be covered under the 10 year warranty they could not guarantee that was the issue and we would be responsible for the bill if it was something else. So LG suggested using our purchased store warranty to play it safe. Warranty company from the purchasing store we bought extra 5 year warranty thankfully sent repair company that first replaced a spray arm then replaced an actuator on another visit and on visit 3 suggested replacement of the entire unit thankfully under the warranty. Unfortunately the multiple repairs and waiting for parts no fault of repair company they were great had us without a functioning dishwasher for almost 3 months from the time it started to have issues until replacement was recommended. If you are like our family and depend on a functioning dishwasher daily you might want to avoid an LG dishwasher just our opinion based off our experience. Not sure if ours was a lemon or if this is typical for this model but regardless we wanted to share in case anything we learned or experienced could help others. We are hoping to return to a Bosch after this still in process of waiting to hear back from warranty company through the store our last one made it 8 years before the door literally fell off and after reattaching it by carefully rigging it with string it still continued to put out a clean load each time we ran it until it was pulled out for this LG to go in.

I bought this less than a year ago. The dishwasher works well however an intermittent issue has recently started happening. At times the dishwasher fails to start. There are no issues shown in diagnostics. A technician came out to access the issue however the unit had started working again so he couldnt figure out what caused the problem. A week after the technician came the issue happened again. I sent video of issue to the technician of the problem but he never responded to me. The dishwasher works well when it is operational but the intermittent error is frustrating.

Replaced our old version of this dishwasher. Immediately had a leak under the front door when running. Called for service and was given the run around by them referring me to the installer when I knew it was NOT an install issue. Had to get stern and forceful for them to send out repair on my less than week old dishwasher.
The repair guy was nice and said he had never seen anything like this before and replaced the entire front door panel which had a leaky connection.
The interior of the machine is much smaller than previous model. Dishes and glasses always come out with water spots even when using a rinse agent. Sometimes they dont get cleaned and I am certain it is not due to overpacking the machine as thats not even possible.
For the cost of this machine its disappointing but I suppose its better than handwashing my dishes.

I purchased the LDTS5552D for the steam option and its high reviews. I really like the ability to run a light load for only the top or only the bottom racks. The heavy duty cycle was able to remove iced tea stains from a jar. Im very impressed with the cleaning ability of this dishwasher. It also dries much better than any previous dishwasher Ive owned. Its quiet and efficient. I set it usually on auto with steam and the dishes come out clean and dry. The 3rd rack for silverware is a game changer Its easy to load and unload without bending over every time I want to put silverware in there. Its not deep enough for a ladle so I put those in the silverware container in the bottom rack. Its very convenient to have both. Im very happy with this dishwasher

My in-laws recently installed this dishwasher in their kitchen. They absolutely hate the way the bottom rack is set up. They have squarish-shaped dishes including bowls and the dishes will not line up properly on the bottom row racks. The tines on the racks seem to be too widely spaced apart and their plates will slip through and hit the water and heating implements. As a result they have to load some of their plates in the cups section and put some cups in the dish section. Its super annoying and they would have returned this product if there had been any alternatives available.

Easy to install easy to use. Honestly there isnt a lot to write about it. I purchased the dishwasher through LG scheduled the delivery there was only 1 day each week for deliver so that made it easy. LG sent slots of updated on the order and deliver it arrived they set it in the kitchen for me and I installed it. It was super easy and straight forward hook up the power drain line and water line and youre 90 done. Slide the dishwasher into the space and attached it to the cabinets and countertop brackets took a minute to find the brackets all hiding in the basket in the dishwasher. I hit start and let it do its job. I had the old dishwasher out and this one in within an hour and half.

I would not buy this item again. I love LG products but this item was not designed very good. My last LG dishwasher had 6 racks in the bottom to hold different size dishes and they also lay down for pots. This dishwasher only has 4 racks and two of them dont lay down.

This is a replacement for a dishwasher I had had for many years. I like the small slide out rack for especially my baking utensils. However I have found that it does not hold as many dishes as my previous one. I also find it more difficult to place large casserole dishes along with plates. It does clean well especially when placed on the automatic cycle which I like very much.

When the dishwasher is running it makes such loud bangs and thumps that from upstairs we kept thinking something in the house had fallen over. It seems to be doing a good job of cleaning but this banging noise is very concerning. Even if we run it empty it sounds like some SLAMMING the water on and off. I am concerned this will harm my plumbing.

Cant leave dirty dishes for longer than a day as it begins to smell terribly - even when all are rinsed thoroughly before being placed in the dishwasher

The dishwasher is easy to load and very quite. The only thing that I dont like you only have about 4 seconds to select wash cycles and start. If you dont get it started before the time is up you have to start all over. Dishes get very clean.

I had it installed about 2 weeks ago and Im so happy. I had to question the installers when they finished and tested it because its so quiet I couldnt hear it. Well made nice interior layout and options.
