The unit works as expected but the turntable makes more noise than anyother model I have owned. Since the functions on the touch plate do not light up it is difficult to select the function in dim light or at night.

working in July 2024. Its now September and
were still waiting for parts to come in. Was
told they were in a few days ago so I scheduled
service appointment. The tech called today and
he didnt have all the parts and would have to
reorder the one that appears to never have been
shipped. So it may be a few more weeks.
Although this is no cost to me the parts and
and labor on an email I received is $600... for a
microwave I paid about $300 for. Contacted
LG a couple of weeks ago and asked if we
could just get a new one. The answer was only
if the tech said this was not repairable.

So far we are happy with this purchase. This is our second LG microwave of this type as the previous one only lasted 7 years. One comment that is a disappointment in this model is that the keypad characters are not very obvious or readable. Perhaps the keypad should be illuminated or printed with brighter printing.

So far with all the microwaves weve had in the last 17 years I think this is the 4th and our first LG brand this thing really looks pretty and so modern cause it has WiFi connection. Aside from looks the build is pretty solid easy to install heats up food so fast and alerts you on your phone when its done. Downside for me is it really attracts finger prints smudges on the stainless and glass part and theyre very hard to take off. Other than that so far so good. The question lies how long this will last.

I love my new microwave. It is so cool and Im getting a hang of all the neat stuff itll do Im 76 and definitely not a tech guy but I think Im getting the hang of most everything that its capable of doing. After the microwave two weeks later I bought a new oven from LG and is still getting a handle on all the functions and what it can do but I think I picked a winner with going with LG looks and functions . next will be a LG refrigerator..

Buyer beware: LG does not stand behind its advertising or warranty offers. LG advertises an extra 1 year warranty if you register the product with them which I did online and in their useless app for the three appliances I bought but they never replied to confirm the extra 1 year warranty. I inquired numerous times by phone and email and get nothing but the run around. They told me they would check into it but they never follow-up. I will avoid LG products in the future because of their total lack of care and horrible customer service.

Ive had my microwave for under a year and twice now Ive cooked corn on a cob in it and it stopped working. Wouldnt heat anything. The first time it started working a few days later the second it never heated again. Called for warranty repair they are here now trying to install a new heat sensor. But nobody had heard of this corn problem before. Id think it was a fluke but not twice. Praying he can fix and I can be happy again

I have had this product for less than 2 years. I called because the buttons were not working on the microwave. Cannot adjust time turn on vent or start the microwave. The only thing they offered me was to pay $349.00 to send out someone to service it which would be more expensive than buying a new one. Then they would give me a 90-day warrantee if the same issue happened again. I can buy a new microwave for less than the service charge. All my appliances are currently LG but will not be using them again after the service options I received today.

I bought this two months ago to replace an older LG that stopped working. Installation was easy. I didnt have to change the wall bracket or anything because it was all the same. However the LED lights on the inside stopped working and they had to call a technician to come look at it. He ordered 2 parts and I am waiting for him to come back and put them in. The microwave part works well and I like the softer tones it makes when food is done. I dont like the lettering on the front buttons though. They are harder to see than the old model.

The interior light quit working within three months of purchase. It cannot be easily accessed and so it requires a service call if under warranty. If no longer under warranty youre on your own The microwave has to be taken down in order to access the screws that you must remove to take the front panel off to get to where the lightbulb cover is I wish we had noticed this before we purchased it. Obviously we regret this purchase Hopefully once the lightbulb is finally replaced by the technician after they receive it it will not burn out again We have to wait another month before they come out our direction again to even have a light in the microwave Wow For a $300 microwave youd think they wouldve just given us a new one instead of paying a technician to come out twice for a silly lightbulb replacement Hmmm I have a feeling that LG is regretting this design Other than that the microwave works great Lol

I. Couldnt be more disappointed in my LG Over Range microwave It was a brand new unit in my brand new home . I was able to make a cup of tea - 1 1/2 minute test run . At dinner time I placed a Corningware glass dish with Summer squash in it for four minutes After three minutes and a significant BANG the Brand new unit absolutely died No power no light no fan -
A call to LG provided be with a representative that talked me through trouble shooting routines to no avail
THE BRAND NEW UNIT WAS and still is DEAD So LG has arraigned a local service company to come here today TWO weeks after the catastrophe

Well considering I have only had it since December the thing stopped heating things up in July. Thank goodness it was still under warranty lg did repair it a week after I called so Im very thankful for that. Hopefully it will last more than 7 months now.

I bought this microwave a month ago to replace a 12 year old LG microwave. The installation was a breeze because the mounting was exactly the same as the old one so I was able to reuse the old bracket without moving it in the existing bolt holes in the cabinet. The microwave works great just like the old one did.

Purchased and installed 17 months ago. The microwave works well and has good features. EXCEPT the interior of the oven is dark gray almost black. The light inside the oven is was a blindingly bright HALOGEN bulb. It burned out making the oven completely dark inside. I ordered a replacement bulb $25 it took a month to arrive. I then discovered that it will take a service call to have a technician change the bulb The service call will be a flat $350 to replace an obsolete lightbulb changed in a 18 month old appliance Very poor design with a dark interior an obsolete bulb and requiring a professional to change a bulb. I dont think I will ever buy another LG product after this.

This was exactly the model that I wanted. The dimensions perfectly fit the cut out where I was replacing my old microwave. Problem was once it was installed I could not open the door because the hinge was too wide for the space rather than the door pivoting to keep the width within the margins of the cut out. This was not accounted for in the literature or on the box.

My wife and I are in our 70s and it is only the two of us. On 1/30/2023 we purchased an over the range microwave MVEM1825F to match the rest of our LG stainless appliances. By 7/17/2024 the inside electronic lighting no longer works.The light on this particular model ties into the internal circuits which makes it impossible for the average consumer to fix the bulb. We purchased the microwave at Lowes for $284 including tax. LG says to repair the microwave will cost $340 plus. The microwave retails for around $400 when not being promoted. I believe LG knew they made an inferior product and started offering this product for less. We have become a throwaway nation. Make it cheap and throw it away. We are definitely upset with LG for not backing up their products. After 17 months it breaks down? Is this normal wear? Life is not Good with LG I believe LG should have replaced it with a new microwave and I would be responsible for the installation. One of LGs most reliable?

We purchased our microwave in December of 2023. It was faulty and LG replaced the unit June of 2024. It was a bit of a chore getting thing organized and installed as it is an over the stove model. The new unit works great heats evenly is smooth running not grinding sound interior light work very nice.

I purchase this over the range microwave Jun 24 2024 and the light bulb underneath gets so hot until when you touch the inside of the microwave it is extremely hot. I call the warranty number I was given from the store to try and have someone to come out and check and I was basically told if it is just a defect I would have to pay for the service call or just turn off the light and dont use it. I dont understand if it is a feature that I paid for and want use why am I being told to turn the light off to resolve the problem. I truly believe this should be addressed do too safety reasons.

I love it clean sleek design. I am still learning how to use it. Some of the things that I have tried have worked out rather well but I have to keep referring to the book and I get frustrated when I cant figure it out right away.. It is much more high-tech than any appliance I have used to date.

My old microwave was not heating up very well. So I was at Best Buy to chose a dishwasher and because I chose a LG dishwasher I thought buying a new microwave from LG would be also helpful. I like the brand. So far it is

I purchased this microwave 12-22-2023. It malfunctioned 5-2-2024. We think it is a Lemon as it does not heat evenly and the light went out or shorted out would be dim one of the two lights would be out we are getting a shock when we opened the door when it stopped operating at the end of a cycle. We reported the problem a repair technician came out possible bad mother board and light. The unit is to be replaced under warranty we hope by June 17 2023.
