We bought a different brand after we bought the house in2013. The tub would only hold a small amount of water so when I was doing a larger load I would have to put a couple of buckets of water in the tub. The machine was very noisy. Our son has this same LG Washtower and it works great at his business. We are loving it doing the laundry. It is a very quite machine and very efficient.

I was so excited to get my new LG Wash Tower installed and begin using. What a disappointment Its absolutely the loudest washer Ive ever used. Additionally the spin cycle vibrates so bad that the unit moves from the wall and disconnects the dryer exhaust and jars the dryer door open. Is there anything we can do to stabilize the unit during the spin cycle? The unit fits perfectly in the space with a few inches on either side and sits on a tile floor.

CONS: I have never had a washer that stinks like this one. Even my clothes dont smell or feel as clean and they are not as soft. I have to leave the door open on the washer so it doesnt smell all mildewy. I dont like having a washer that suggests I have to clean it after each load. Thats just crazy and it doesnt help it smell any better. As for the dryer my only complaint is that lint dirt sand Etc builds up on the lower portion of the seal on the door. Therefore extra mess.

I like LG TVS. I no longer have a high opinion of LG appliances. Had this unit for 6 months. Started having door error codes on the washer about two months ago. Called LG for warranty service. By the time the technician came to my house the error code had reset and the unit seemed to be working. Technical also told me that we a 72 yo man and his 70 yo wife would have to separate the units so the technician could work on the washer. But since it seemed to be working they left without doing anything. A few loads later the door error code returned. The tech immediately ordered a door switch and main board for the washer. Ten days later after receiving the parts the technician came to my house. I had my grandson come from 90 miles away to help me unstack the dryer so the tech could work on it. He replaced the main board and door switch and started a test load. He stated he couldnt wait around for the load to complete. Almost to the end of the load during spin cycle the unit shut down and the panel went blank. It would not respond to pushing the power button. We hired a separate repair company to check the unit at our expense. It did turn on but only ran for a few minutes before shutting down again and not responding to the power switch. If he could get the main board which was questionable it would cost over $500 to replace it. We choose to go elsewhere for a different wash tower machine and cut our losses on this one. We were beyond the 60 Best Buy return window so getting our money back wasnt going to happen. LGs technical support for their new machines is pretty limited remove and replace units called out for a given error code. We have an alternative tower being delivered tomorrow and will not purchase an LG appliance again.

I bought this washer dryer combo 1 year and 6 months ago. First the error message on the dryer to clear filter never goes out. Even when you clear clean and vacuum the filter area.
Second the washer has picked clothes multiple runs in sheets to the point when they are ruined.
Third I have done trouble shooting many many times and called the LG hotline to try to get this resolved.
I called Home Depot where I purchased it.
Unfortunately they told me they cant get a service center in my area to come out. So they sent me a email saying they would give me 100.00 and I would have to get someone myself.
Im very frustrated that the warranty that was bought and the service from Home depot and LG have not helped. Would I recommend this washer dryer combo? ....

I bought this washer dryer combo one year and six months ago.
First the dryer error message to clear lent never goes away after cleaning and vacuuming vent area.
Second the washer picks clothes and sheets. I have cleaned done troubleshooting per tech. Googled and called again and again to try to get a service through the Warranty department of Home Depot. I received a email stating they could not find a service that would service my unit in Charleston SC of all places. So the email said they would give me 100.00 and I could get my own service.
Third I purchased a warranty extra so I would not have to hire someone.
I am very frustrated with Home Depot and the LG department.

Bought w/dryer tower 8 months ago. Worked good until July 19th 2024. Dryer cones on then goes rogh back off. Lg sent techs out and they did nothing Said it was electrical on our end. Had electrician and electric company cone out said all electric was good inside and outside home. Lg said they will send another tech out for $350 I told them no I am not paying that because they dryer is less than year old. Horrible customer service. Still without dryer-august 9 2024.

I bought this machine in June and immediately got an error code. Luckily I purchased insurance on it to resolve the issue however it has turned into a nightmare. The technician company that was contracted to fix the machine has twice failed to show up. LG customer service has been good at responding but informed me that I cant return the machine until they have had 3 attempts to fix it- but this is impossible because they dont show up in the first place. It is now August and I have yet been able to do laundry.

After a recent visit to my local home improvement center I knew I wanted stackable/front loading machines for my small walk-in laundry room in an effort to maximize floor space to allow for additional storage options. Being vertically challenged I found it difficult to reach the controls for the top unit without a step stool and was very excited to find the Washtower solved my space and accessibility concerns without sacrificing capacity. Its been 16 months and I am surprised how awesome this machine is. Water efficiency is amazing my water bill actually went down. I was skeptical of how clean my clothes got with so little water in the tub but they come out fresh and clean. With many downloadable wash cycles to choose from this baby is awesome. Easy to use an easy on the eyes when I get my utility bills. I dont give it a 5 star rating cause it cant unload fold and iron my clothes. Lol

The washer sometimes knocks and makes load noice. The dryer is very quiet and is working great. Not sure if theres a balance problem when there isnt a full load. I have not seen anything in the instructions to address this problem. Will consult the manual. Otherwise everything else is okay

First I love an LG product. We have been together for over 14 years.
Every item that I have from them still works -phones tablets earbuds TVs Fridges.
This is the first tower that I have had and I love it
Its space-saving Uber modern and it performs efficiently my electric bill has decreased I also know that the clothes are cleaner than my old side-by-side rival machine.
I was a bit worried about having this type of washer because I owned a similar one in the past not LG and the smell was still stinky after the cleaning cycle.
LG is transparent in their instructions in caring for the machine. There is no musty smell in the drum. This fits any household and can handle your delicates and heavy duty loads Its pretty quiet too An adjustable chime when done for both machines. The app is a great tool for this machine as well The cost I paid was also great with a promotion.

I had to get the computer panel replaced due to soap getting into the panel. I believe this is a design flaw since we pull the drawer our to put soap in it then close the drawer. How does soap get into the control panel? I had to pay to replace it the tech will have to come out for a third time because he couldnt get the right part. Pretty frustrated since this is a 2 year old machine.

Its a good machine. Washes and dries more than you think it will. Inside the rubber boot around the washer opening retains water so I suggest using a towel to wipe it dry all the way around to prevent mildew. I always keep the washer door slightly open too. Make sure you get all the parts that come with the machine. I was missing the foot pads the laundry hose bracket and the wrench to adjust the legs.

I bought my Washtower unit in November of 2023. I loved it. It was great until it wasnt. My dryer just totally stopped but the washer was still working. The unit is still under warranty. The problem I had was trying to get in touch with ANYONE at LG in customer service to set up an appointment for service. The choices werent very clear to me and I was either getting hung up on or told that my choice was not right. This happened many times over 3 days. I got so upset I finally just practically screamed to talk to a service agent. I finally got a human to talk to and things eventually got worked out. Oh and dont do the texting live chat unless you are a super speedy texter. Im not and I got cut off while I was still texting. Im an old lady and speed is something I dont have anymore.
But let me say that I do like the unit I just had problems with customer service. I finally talked to a great agent and they sent out a wonderful technician.

After only 2 1/2 years this washing machine failed to alarm or stop imbalance or heavy load which wasnt heavy I had washed bedding in it before It literally blew apart exploded Had I been standing there I could have been injured. LG only gave me a partial depreciation refund.

I have had this unit for several weeks now and after loads and loads it is still amazing to me. The settings are plenty but also clear and simple. The spin cycle on the washer is EXCELLENT so far. It is very quiet yet very efficient at the tasks I set them to.I am so impressed as a stacking unit there is no shaking at all even as with a larger loadI was worried that might be the case. When each of the washer or dryer is finished there is a pleasant melody that lets me know they are done. I bought the extended warranty and read what is covered and it seems a very fair deal. Also be aware to never quickly use buttons let them have time to relay to the computer this is an electronic. I am truly in Laundry heaven and I wish I could have had this unit sooner. LIFE-IS GOOD :

I lived in an apartment before and I had a washer/dryer so I decided to upgrade to a single unit with one. Now here is why I give this a one-to-no-star rating. The washer comes with a power cord at the bottom however the dryer on top does not. Why? LGs justification is that it is an accessory. Wow these are my questions: would you buy a car without a gas tank? Would you buy a Laptop without a power cord? Why should I buy a dryer that uses power from an electrical outlet without a complete power cord? The manufacturer should not be allowed to sell consumers an incomplete manufactured product. LG CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR FIELD SERVICE NEED TO LEAVE WHAT THE WORD RETENTION MEANS.

Very poor quality. Installed 2 weeks ago. The problem is NOT the installation. Ran a rinse and spin cycle as instructed upon installation. The entire drum of water leaked out the bottom. Slow delivery. Ordered 12/2021 Delivered 07/2023. I wouldve liked feature upgrades that came out while I was waiting such as internal detergent tank.
Learning curve to select cycle features
Even steeper learning curve to set up THINQ access Download Cycle features which are nice to have.

Im happy with the LG tower. It did need service 1 month out of warranty. I recommend buying the service contract on this. I usually dont but with the size of tower I didnt want to deal with any problems. The hot water fill didnt shut off and the tank filled up with water over night. Will see how it goes from here. If it holds up it is great.

Unit shipped with huge dent in the front. The response from LG is completely unacceptable. The options were $145 damage allowance or return it. I waited over 2 weeks for this to be delivered.
This is a $2400 machine and that is the best they could do?

We have had our washtower for about 20 months we loved it for its sleek look and space saving. But about a month ago we started having it throw random codes on the dryer like the ventilation system being blocked - checked all the vent stuff even took it all apart and cleaned and it wasnt blocked at all - not even really dirty were a 3 person household..so not a ton of laundry. Then started throwing a no power code that says there is some problem with the house power/wiring - had it all checked and its fine dryer still not working and throws both codes. Have replaced so many sensors and parts for the dryer and still having problems. Its really frustrating to pay so much for something and then have it not work right after such a short time. Not sure that I would recommend buying one at this point maybe were just unlucky. LG troubleshooting is no help.

My wife loves her combo Washer and Dryer. She doesnt care much for new technology however the Combo was easy for her to learn. We appreciate the quietness of the units and are very happy with our purchase and the company we purchased it from. The delivery and installation technicians were very cordial and knowledgeable. After 3 trial uses my washing machine would no longer power up. LG was responsive in sending a technician out to evaluate the issue while still under warranty. 2 parts were found to not be functioning - one of those parts on back order with no ETA. Pretty disappointing. After 4 to 5 calls expressing my displeasure LG agreed to replace the entire unit. Hopefully it shows up this Tuesday.

Still unable to use my washer/dryer Still waiting for my parts to get my unit repaired Still having to drive to the laundry mat and paying for gas and laundry. Yesterday at the laundry mat I found a razor blade in the washer with my clothes. So upset I cant use my new $2000 LG washing machine that I got in October and was only able to use 5 times

Because LG took two months six visits 3 times the parts were wrong to then determine the unit must have been broken during the shipping and not their fault i have no idea if it works. No one would take it away either. But they gave me a 15 coupon - which I wont use. If you are going to validate or invalidate the claim you need to determine this faster because your own technician claimed she had the wrong part three times because LG sent the wrong oneso the unit was literally in the middle of my kitchen for 10 weeks. Terrible. and though you want this to be about the product only I contacted you over seven times no one was listening.

Purchased in December as had to replace a set when the dryer failed. Both parts of the tower are higher capacity with many options. Downoadable programs help provide more options but require mobile phone to use those cycles. There is limited ability to change things in those cycles making it harder to customize per load. I miss a couple of washer features - the short load is rather harsh resulting in fabric feeling coarser and more wrinkly. permanent press is a downloadable only cycle not standard option.
Dryer not so good at producing wrinkle free items even when immediately removed. Not sure if this because washer cycles result in more wrinkles therefore wrinkles remain even after drying. Same cycle issues with dryer - less customizable except with downloadable programs. Would like to create my own cycles but cant seem to figure out if that is possible.

I have purchased this and only used it to wash clothes around 5 times and had to call for repair three times for a vibration sensor error. So disappointed in the machine. I was so excited to get a new washer/dryer combo and so disappointed in the performance. Waiting for the repairman hoping third time is the charm.

Love my LG stackable washer and dryer. You can use less detergent and still get clean clothes. The dryer dries clothes faster. I am short so having the controls at eye level is great. They also look great so sleek. It has all the different features youll ever need.
