I like having the washer connect to my phone to set up and start washer. Being able to have it spin keep freshoption if I dont empty it right away is very nice The one thing I can think of is I wish the done cycle notification could be louder. I cant hear it if Im in the next room and I dont always have my phone nearby.

Well been using the LG Washer and Dryer set for over 3 weeks and we are very happy with them. They have a very sleek and modern look and of high quality. The controls are purely electronic and there every program imaginable. The only improvement that is required is having a customizable option to select your own washing program. We worked around this by choosing a program close to what we want and adjusting the variables although its not exactly the program we want. I can see how having all these programs could be overwhelming for some people. But we would still recommend this set to anyone looking for a washer and dryer set.

I did a lot of research and looked at reviews before purchasing this brand and model. My main issue with the overall experience was around installation/hook-up offered from Lowes. The delivery man would not swap out the old hoses for the new hoses that Lowes said I had to buy so I had to call a plumber for the job. As far as the washing machine it is noisy during the Steam feature. I have only had it a few weeks and so far it is cleaning my clothes well. I hope it last as long as my last washer 15 years but likely it will not as things are not built to last anymore.

I have a brand new WM5500HVA literally two weeks old June 2024. Serviced twice and both service men say they cant fix it and LG refuses to issue an RA number so I can get at a replacement . They are wasting more time and money send a third person out to get the same result.
Im a home owner with more brains then the people you speak too at the call center. The machine is built like a kids toy all the exterior panel dont fit properly together so when your washing cloths the machine makes horrible squeaking and metal to metal noise

Purchased the LG after a horrible experience with some Sam-named brand: reviews and recommendations seemed good.
Im a male engineer plus when I was young my mom always got my clothes clean as the ideal to live up to as guiding this review.
First the installation was a joke mainly of bringing in washer and putting in place. They didnt install the strain release on the washer electric cable think sharp edge rubbing 220V cable and left a piece of shipping foam under the washer causing an incredible racket for almost a year. Then they ran an empty cycle and left Id prefer at least a towel load to justify the water and energy. Just because I can reinstall doesnt mean I should.
But my biggest disappointment is the Smarts. I read manuals and labels and no where in the manual or settings is there a way to specifically match Machine Wash Cold Tumble Dry Low or the corresponding picture labels. Now if I ruin my wifes better clothes LG aint taking the heat and replacement $: I am. Ive written tech manuals for instruments and this manual from a professional angle is lacking. Then you can dig in to the presets to modify settings but some are locked out. And nowhere do they describe how the machine operates differently in the different cycles.
You cant turn the drum light on in use I like watching the tumble and it turns off much to quickly when emptying load.
Its nice that I get a ping on my phone when the load is done. But LG app wants all kinds of intrusions and makes a big deal of new feature release for a new jingle on completion big whoop-de-do :- . And when you go for warranty support a true smart app would say the service people would press a button to retrieve the serial digits and usage but nope: you do that manually. A few times.
For maybe an average or disinterested user the washer is fine. For a laundry pro its not up to snuff. My opinion: the programmers were given a set of specs and they performed to those: none of them did laundry themselves or tested it with real people loads.
I purchased the Steam option FOMO and after 1 year I have yet to use it. Save $ and skip that.

I have been using our new washer and dryer set for about a month now and I couldnt be happier. My favorite feature is the AI and app integration so I can figure out whats going on without schlepping to the basement every time. I also love the height of the machines we keep them side by side as it is perfect for folding laundry and our future second floor laundry room fantasy of a built over island for getting through clean clothes. I wouldnt enjoy the vanity of efficiency and ergonomics just mentioned if I had problems otherwise. Certainly everything seems to work as it should incredibly well and my clothes are super clean. We took great care in our installation and I tend to wipe them off regularly and make sure they are balanced/ whatever I need to do to ensure the longevity and remove culpability of any technical or mechanical errors. So far so good

I bought this roughly 2 months ago and so far its been incredible My kids love the little tunes it plays and the different splash screens you can set it to.
I personally love all the different settings and the fact the quick wash setting is exactly that a quick wash. Definitely comes in handy when youve got young children who are obsessed with their blanky I also love the in app features and being able to start the wash while we are away from home. I am running this washer everyday sometimes multiple times. We have not had any issues with this washer.

My whole family absolutely loves this washer - It can hold a large enough load to cut down on how many loads we need to do each week and the customization settings for each load offers a lot more options than on our previous washer. It is quiet and easy to use and I am so thankful that we purchased this model I do wish the light would stay on longer inside as we are hanging clothes/transferring them to the dryer but that is a minor thing. I also enjoy receiving notifications on my phone alerting me to the wash cycle being complete so that I dont have to guess as to when it is finished. And if its sitting a little too long with wet clothes I can either run a refresh cycle or hightail it downstairs to empty it before it ruins our load.

This is a great washing machine. Its perfectly balanced and smart. Quality is evident. And the technology is state of the art. I liked it mine we bought it but I love it. How we used it for a while. It takes a guest work out of laundry. The AI feature was something I didnt think we would use. But I was wrong. I watched a comforter today and set the AI mode. The washer sensed the contents of the drum and figured it out how to wash it. All I had to do was walk away and wait the only thing I wish it would do is allow me to turn the LED lights on inside While its washing so I can watch whats going on. Maybe theyll adjust the programming to allow me to turn the lights on throughout the entire wash cycle. I think in some cases is more interesting in watching television.

I bought the washer and dryer TOGETHER through LG. It took 2 and a half weeks for them to be delivered to me. I live in one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the world why did it take so long? Home Depot and Lowes were showing next day or 2 day deliveries. On the day of my delivery the delivery team could not install my new washer and dryer because I apparently did not purchase the stacking kit. If I am buying a washer and dryer together from the same website why would that not be offered to me? How would I know I need to buy another item? Its 3 pieces of metal the machines really cant include it? I spent over $2000 its a little ridiculous that 3 pieces of metal arent included in that.. I called LG and was told I would get a refund for the installation which I am currently still waiting on... Its been over 10 days.
The machines itself look nice. I am still figuring out how to use them. I did do a load of laundry and the washer kept adding more time to the cycle??? I have no idea why this would happen.

Im very satisfied with this purchase. The only issue is the washer will not stay connected to WiFi. Ive called customer service and they walked me through disconnecting and reconnecting and it still does not stay connected. We also have the dryer which has stayed connected to WiFi since received so its not my internet its the unit. I will be calling again to get this issue resolved.

I bought the washing machine and dryer as a set. My previous LG front loader was still working perfectly the sensor dry part of dryer not so good. I decided to just replace both and get the stainless steel matching set. I really love the nice clean look of the new pair.

So far I am absolutely loving this washer. Ive had it for about six months and its worked flawlessly. Does a great job and a quick load using it AI technology. Its fun to be able to change the greeting picture and the finish cycle sounds but the real charm is how good a job it does on my clothes. Highly Recommend. I bought the pedestals with mine and Im glad I did because otherwise it would be a really low bend and stretch each time I took the clothes in and out so I also recommend buying the pedestals with these units. It has every cycle needed and tons of options for any type of clothes you plan to do

I bought this around November. So far I love it. I have not had any issues. We bought the Washer and Dryer. I love the different wash/dry settings. We had a really old machine with 2 settings so this washer/dryer is super in comparison.

Three and a half weeks after installation the washer started leaking. Customer Service said I should only be using 2 TBS of liquid detergent No where in the manual does it mention this. Later a different agent instructed me to clean the WM 3 times to remove the detergent buildup. Major flooding resulted. Very disappointed in this product and in Customer Service as I requested a tech to repair not for me to troubleshoot over the phone. They refused because they said it was my fault for using too much detergent and it is not an equipment issue. This is ridiculous since it is still under warranty. This issue is unresolved. I seriously doubt I will purchase an LG product again.

Wow - who knew you could love a washer Everything about this washer is great and the quality of the wash is excellent. The AI feature figures out the right wash saving time and money when loads are light or more time is needed for bigger loads. The application works wonderful and lets me know when the load is done and I can extend it if I cant get to it right away. Even enjoy the festive music option I had over Christmas This is a quality washer and I highly recommend it.

I bought this washer a month or so ago. It works great for simple loads. I did one load of towels and bedding and it leaked from the bottom of the front loader window. It leaked a second time right after that. The tech guy was rude and so unprofessional. I was saved by buying my washer at costco and being able to return it. Please correct the afforementioned.

Were totally pleased with our new washer For starters it looks AMAZING. The Graphite Steel finish is beautiful. It looks so good in our laundry room.
The instructions were easy to understand and so there was no problem getting the washer up and running. Leveling it took a little effort but there was a helpful tool included that made it easier. The signal you hear at the end of a cycle was originally too loud for our preference since our toddler takes naps in the room next to the laundry room. But we quickly found out how to lower the volume and now its perfect.
Weve found that our clothes are getting cleaner with this washer than with our previous unit. And it seems like theres less wear-and-tear taking place. Those things alone make the WM5500HVA worth the investment since were getting better life and performance out of our whole familys clothes.
Also the WM5500HVA is way quieter than our previous washer. It runs smooth and we dont even need to keep the laundry room door closed like we used to which it nice because it helps keep the space more ventilated. Every so often theres a spin cycle that louder than normal. But thats probably just a quirk due to what clothing items are in the load and doesnt seem to be a problem at all.
Were really excited about this washer and are so glad we got it

My first thought about a washer with wifi was Why why would I need this why would I want this? I bought it anyway because of the beautiful modern and sleek look to it and my previous washer was an LG which I had a long very good experience with so I wanted another LG. This works as good if not better than my previous washer and I do use the wifi. The LG ThinQ app lets me know how much time is left when to run a clean cycle clean the lint filter and sends an alert to my phone when its finished among many other useful features. When not in use the washers digital display shows the date and time. I also bought the matching front load dryer and the matching pedestals to complete the look and functionality. Its a beautiful looking and beautiful working machine

It washes fine and more wash options than I need. I use the AI mode more ofthen than the others and it does a good job. The only issue is the odor. We had a front load before so just leave the door open when not washing plus it is more of an odor like a machine rather than mold. Hope it goes away but already getting use to it. It does a load faster than our old machine and still gets items clean. Overall a good machine so far and has more than enough bells and wistles for us.

Took delivery on this unit. Easy to make connections. First wash discovered the washer gasket is improperly installed. Sad to know quality control is lacking. Defect 2was extremely apparent. Received second as replacement. Easy control wash decisions. This unit has performed well with the done wash applications. Not as quiet as expected.
