After using LG washers for decades and having gone through a couple generations of those washers Ive finally had my first bad experience with this latest unit. In just the first 2 months of use the unit developed a leak. Although I registered my product LG customer service did not apparently have any of the information from the registration requiring me to provide all the information again including original receipts all of which had been previously uploaded. A minor annoyance but at least I got a service appointment as part of warranty coverage. Things quickly got much worse than annoyance as LG shopped out the warranty service to Sears Home Service. They have repeatedly failed to show cancelled/rescheduled with no notice and thus far have not even made appearance to address the issue. Hours have been spent in call center hell automated systems chatbots with no resolution other than we promise we will take care of it at this next service date we just gave you. Having reached my limit with Sears failing to address the issue I tried to go back to LG who then simply connected me to Sears Home Service. LGs advice to me was that if Sears keeps failing to show LG will just refund the cost of the unit but I just have to wait it out and document more failures from their subcontractor. Perhaps this is just an edge case but should be a cautionary tale. If one of their products fails under warranty dont expect much help.

I bought this machine 1 month ago. I was bit wondering if it would be confusing to use technologically advanced features and settings but it was easy as it can be. The washer is quiet and smooth and performs as advertised. We are retired and may never utilize it to its full potential but so far it is very satisfactory. One feature we love is the AI wash cycle as it seems to do a great job of detecting how many clothes and what type. It has also stayed mildew-free so far by 1 drying it out after usage and 2 running the tub wash when the app tells us to which is a great reminder. Its also pretty amazing to have an alert on your phone when the wash cycle is done

Bought this in May and its been awful. Super loud stinks always has tons of water left in rubber gasket and leaks ALL over. A tech came out and said to fix the leak I need to run smaller loads or use a lower speed my loads are never more than 1-2 full and I usually use the bedding or delicate speeds for everything. So the fix is bologna. I dont do what they say causes the leak. Im ticked off and will never get LG again. I have to check for leaks after every load now totally unacceptable.

I received this email yesterday. I have not received the washer yet. According to LG the washer was going to be delivered on Aug. 16th. On Aug. 14th I received a text asking me to schedule my delivery date. I thought this was strange because I had a delivery date of Aug. 16th. When I clicked the link the soonest available date was Sept. 9th. I thought there must be some mistake. I had ordered direct from LG mostly because Lowes etc. would be around Aug. 22nd delivery date and LG said the 16th. I then called both the delivery company and LG. They use a separate delivery service therefore the date when ordering was not accurate. This was very frustrating as it costs me over $40 a week at the laundromat.
I am so far giving my rating 3 stars as the people I have spoken with have been kind and have tried to help. My washer hopefully will arrive the 9th as planned. I will update my review then. In the meantime I hope that LG is able to integrate with the delivery company more to give more accurate delivery dates as that was a big factor when I ordered it.

Im still learning how to operate the washer Its been a much steeper learning curve from my previous 21-year old front load washer than I expected. I like the WiFi enabled features very much especially the notification on the status of the machine. Its taking some time to learn which cycles to use for the types of loads I wash most often and how to modify them for my preferences. I find it a little tedious to have to use an online user manual for information I would expect to find in the printed manual but its not awful. Overall Im very happy with my purchase

Ive had this washer for 4 months and love it. There are a wide variety of cycles that are not on a normal machine and I use several of them frequently. The only problem Ive had is that the detergent drawer is a little tricky to get back in I have arthritis in my hands so its not easy I gave it 5 stars even with that difficulty as the machine is remarkable otherwise.

The features are perfect and address all washing needs including all the synthetic fabrics in the market. Its easy to use and the wash cycles get my clothes really clean. We recently purchased this washer and its been fun to use all the options. The AI appears to use the less time and energy. Its also interesting to see how much energy each cycle uses. Right after installation the washer leaked. Assuming it was a fluke with that machine we ordered a replacement. The replacement had the same issue. I called LG and they stated that they were not aware of an issue with this model. I will be returning it to Costco. Our previous LG lasted 11 years and never leaked.

We have owned the washer and dryer for about a month now. We are generally happy with them. The only issue we have is that the features and selections are largely preprogrammed so that if you wish to perform a simple task or modify a given selection it is difficult or impossible. Capacity is very good.

I bought this washer based on Consumer Reports reviews and were very happy with it so far. It replaced a 16-year-old GE model. The LG is much quieter and seems to use less water.
Weve been using AI mode for all our washes and it takes at least 15 mins less time than the old washer. I use the LG app to keep an eye on the wash cycle mainly because the end-of-cycle notification isnt loud enough to be heard unless youre in the basement.

Weve had the washer for about 5 months and it is a great improvement over our previous washer. I love how quiet and refined it is. Its hard to imagine a better way to clean clothes.
We did have one problem though. The detergent drawer refused to go back in its slot when we removed it for regular cleaning. It was because of a manufacturing defect. It took about two weeks to get service. The service person fixed it and so the problem was resolved. It is still hard to get in but we can live with it.

Our old front loader needed to be replaced. Several years ago we had bought an LG washer dryer as a gift for our grown children. It has been perfect for them. I wanted the front loader that could accommodate the small pedestal washer that LG makes so we bought the WM5500 . The washer is very intuitive in sensing the type of setting needed. I also love the small pedestal washer as you can wash athletic clothes and save water and energy.

I now own this washer for about six weeks and I am extremely pleased my purchase. I love thats so incredibly quiet and the streamlined look. It compliments the space rather than dominating it and it does a darn good job of cleaning my clothes. Given that I am not a heavy user except during the Summer months Ive not taken advantage of all the options but find the ease of use and interactive aspect and design great. Given that my previous washing machine which only lasted 5 years and was the worse customer service and product I have ever purchased I wanted a reliable and efficient product. I continue to experiment with the options and I am indeed pleased with my purchase. I have to read further on the Turbo Wash my plumber indicated I should have received a hose? with machine. Not sure. Based on my experience to date I will give this washer an A+.

This is a terrific washer. Fast efficient and quiet. It takes a bit of time to get used to the control panel and various different settings but that is a minor issue compared to the quality. Do not stop a cycle before it finishes. We did and had to reboot the washer in order to regain ability to select our desired cycle.

Bought this set to replace a WM3770H and DLEX3570 washer/dryer set. I liked that pair but the washer suffered a premature bearing failure and I took the gamble to try LG a second time despite that.
This set is a HUGE improvement and not just because of the move up from 2 to 5 turbowash jets. The number of available wash programs the ability to edit which ones are visible the wash prioritization feature that reshuffles the order of the programs based on frequency of usage are all gigantic steps up. LG has also opened up the option list a lot as well e.g. Extra hot temp was previously only available on the Sanitize cycle. Now I can add it to most cycles including Heavy Duty. This is super good for flexibility. Almost all cycles have the ability to add up to three extra rinses now for a total of four Huge improvement for sensitive skin
I personally also like the new control panel - all touch sensitive. The small screen inside the selector dial is a nice touch. There are no physical buttons anymore. And the drum has a light now You have to scroll through a few options to turn it on manually but this doesnt bother me much.
On the dryer the drum is now stainless too On my old set the washer was but dryer drum was painted steel. Another big improvement
A few areas that could be improved: despite having the same 4.5 cu. ft. interior space the cabinet on this one takes up a noticeable amount of additional space. It may not matter to you but my laundry room is very small and its obvious.
I wish there was a brightness setting to the control panel. Its not too bad but in daylight can be tough to read I have a large window in said laundry room. Touch settings that are available but not active are lit very dimply and difficult to see in some cases.
And one major misstep: I think that as a result of people complaining about a small amount of water left in the liquid detergent cup LG now has molded a pinhole into the bottom. This was NOT a well thought out solution because thinner detergents i.e. most plant-based ones drain out as fast as you pour them in. Obviously this has no impact on powdered detergents I use both but after talking to LG customer care there seems to be no plan to correct this so I ended up putting a drop of glue over the hole. Now I am back to a bit of clear water left in the detergent cup after a wash but I never considered this a big deal in the first place so who cares? At least now my liquids detergents dont immediately drain out.
Despite the few goofs this set is definitely an improvement for LG and looks and feels far more premium than older LG sets.

Have used this laundry pair for about a month now and absolutely love it. Looks great works great. Only complaint is that some of the settings end of cycle sound for instance are buried too far in either the machine menu or the application menu.

Ive run 4 cycles so far and it is doing a great job of cleaning. The drum is noticeably stabile compared with my old LG where the drum broke. The drum also flips the clothes around to help clean. It has many cycles and the ThinQ app makes it easy to manage them and have only the cycles you use show up on the dial. Cons: this machine doesnt have a Steam Fresh cycle steam/tumble/no wash for wrinkles. LG also claims that additional cycles can be downloaded. So far only Overnight can be added. The glass is dark requiring a flashlight to see inside during the cycle. The Options are very hard to read since the display panel isnt illuminated but you can use the ThinQ app to select them instead.
