We loved this washer for 20 months and then it started putting grease all over the clothes. It was just outside the warranty. And LG didnt want anything to do with fixing it. Fortunately I had bought the 5-year service program from home Depot but they didnt want to fix it either and simply refunded my money and now I have no washer at all.

Purchased matching washer dryer set. Dryer displays error code after every cycle. Reported in February no resolution. Top load washer started making motor noise after 4 or 5 months. Called for Service. Service tech arrived as scheduled not prepared to repair washer at initial service call. Service tech stated he responds to many calls for Service on LG machines and he would not recommend them. Will not buy LG products again.

I love it and I hate it Im not sure why but every now and then my washer acts up. It will run all the way through a cycle and starts all over again and this will go on for a few hours at least 4 I can use the exact same wash cycle and for no new reason it will act up. Ive had this washer since the middle of November and it has done this to me 4 time so far all in different months. Other than that I love it. My close come out clean.
We have reached out to LG and supposedly we were to get a call from a service technician this never happened. Finally we call Costco and they are handling the situation. We are to get a service technician on this coming Monday we will see if this happens ?

My wife and I bought an LG washing machine and dryer the washing machine has been broke since June 17. The washing machine only lasted for 6 months. There is only one LG technician in the state of Iowa and they could not fix it. When you call LG they tell you a presidential lea son will contact you in 24 to 48 hours well Im going on almost 2 months without a washing machine and there are 5 people in my family. My wife had a stroke 8 months ago and cant carry laundry and Im still waiting on the phone call from LG for a refund. I would personally tell every person I know to not buy any LG products they are junk dont last and The LG corporation does not care about there consumers. I have never been treated as bad as LG has treated me. I wish LG would come get the LG products from my house so I can buy a product that works from a company that will stand behind there product.

looks good hard for 5ft 1 person to retrieve clothes very deep almost feel in the lid falls on your head has nothing holding it in place to stabilize it dangerous. it has broke and would not drain. clothes do not come clean especially white socks. would not recommend this model

I bought this LG washer back in the fall. I chose this one because itr was highly rated on Consumer Reports.
Ive had nothing but problems since. It was godd for the 1st 2 or 3 months but then a problem with the flow of water began. I would get an IE code.
I struggled with it for awhile after all it was brand new Once the flow of water ceasedcompleytely I called LG for service. The repair technician found 3 of the 4 valves not working. He returned a week later with the parts. He replaced the 4 valves and the mother board. But he neglected to reprogranm then washer so hes coming a 3rd time.
I can sum it up by my mothers response to my ongoing issues You got a lemon

Owned 18 months and black grease or some substance continues to ruin white sheets. I use All Free and Clear Oxi. Use Afresh tabs monthly. I also clean the hot and cold braided water inlet mesh baskets every 3 months. 2 appliance people said the inside is releasing grease. Needs a whole new drum.

This is the first time I bought a top load and somewhat disappointed. First of all all the lints are not removed from the clothes and damages my garments even in normal cycle. Recently I had to have service to change major part under drum because it was making loud squeaky noise when ever it was turning. Third complaint is that dryer does not connect with ThinQ like the washer. called the service and was told there maybe problem with my wifi. washer connects fine and the dryer is right next to it.
One positive is that there is no more oder.

Ive washed the washer and weve even removed the agitator to find any lint but there is none. I have No clue where its coming from but our washer is practically unusable

This washer doesnt use enough water to get all the clothes wet on a normal cycle even with a small load of clothes. The deep cycle fills the tub completely. There doesnt seem to be something in the middle.

The washer does not add enough water on a normal cycle. Not overloaded clothes on top never get wet during wash cycle and are not agitated. Have to use the deep fill option every time which uses way more water than needed. No option for a happy medium. I have serious buyers remorse. They claim it is due to High Efficiency but you cant clean the clothes if they never touch the water and detergent...

Its been six months since my purchase and I am extremely disappointed. Ive had a technician try to fix issue several times but to no avail. It takes hours to wash a small load of laundry because the machine continues to flash IE stops during wash or rinse cycle and even though technician has tried to fix the problem it continues. Technician is scheduled to address issue again in a couple days. But I see no resolution. I wish Id kept my old washer but I wanted a new LG washer. Not at all what I expected and Life is not Good.

Use to my Speed Queen for 16 years
This new one has so many cycles and the literature is not real clear on how to choose the basic cycles with certain items and of course the low water issue. Hope its cleaning properly hard to really tell. Maybe in time I will get use to it.

It looks pretty plays a pretty song at the end. It does NOT washes clothes like a washer should. NO matter what setting Ive used the water is barely lukewarm even on the hot settings. Quick wash - the water is even colder. I miss my old washer I wished I fixed it instead of downgrading to this A regular load takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes and the results are not great. It suppose to save energy but if youre rewashing a blanket 2-3 times to actually clean it its not saving energy at all.

Purchased this washer on November 15 2023 it started leaking on February 12 2024. Although covered under the 1 year warranty LG has refused to exchange the DEFECTIVE appliance only to repair it. It was less than 90 days before the leaking began. The LG technician confirmed the leaking was coming from the tub and it needed to be replaced. If a BRAND NEW product fails within 90 days IT IS DEFECTIVE However LG has a policy that is not actually written in the warranty that requires a service tech come out 3 times to fix the same problem or the tech determines it cannot be repaired before they will even consider exchanging the appliance. This means that I as the consumer am stuck with a defective MAJOR appliance that is very likely to continue having problems well after the one year warranty LG offers. The warranty only says ...LG will at its option repair or replace the Product. It does not inform consumers of this required process which impedes our ability to make an informed decision as it relates to our purchases. I was soooo excited about purchasing my FIRST washer and dryer set And now the disappointment is REAL

I bought this machine along with dryer. Dryer works great. However the washer started making a strange grinding noise just before water goes in. When I called to ask about this I got a lady whom I couldnt understand who wanted me to take a picture of the machine when it made the noise. No offer to send somebody to check out the noise. Very disappointed.

I have had the washer and dryer for a year now with no problems. The machine is quiet and gets all wash clean rugs blankets and clothes. Love it. I dont use all the features but the ones I do I like very much. Like the deep fill for rugs and blankets. I love the tune it plays to tell you the wash is done. No buzzers. Love it.
