haven't used the kitchenaid dishwasher in our home for over 20 years because it was so noisy in our combined kitchen/living room.
doing research for many months i decided on the b***h brand because of the amazing reviews and how well it cleaned. #1 importance to me was noise level and this washer is quieter than that competitive model. who knew? as a smartthings home automation geek i loved the idea that it connected to my home automation and i could check the status of the wash on my iphone and when it completed i got an alert on my samsung tv. great features like 3 racks and auto open at the end to let out the remaining moisture. it's soooo quiet! highly recommend.

this dishwasher is very quiet and looks great. however, i have had it only a little over two years and am already looking to replace it. the first problems was that it stopped opening automatically open at the end of the cycle. then it developed an intermittent drain error problem for many months that has now changed to every cycle. it drains fine now, but will not finish a cycle so the dishes don't get the final hot rinse and dry. worst of all is that i cannot get anyone to repair it. no one in my town works on samsung dishwashers. i tried a ticket through samsung and it was cancelled. so frustrating

since the beginning, it was water leaking, then stopping in-between washing cycles, and not working for hours at all. we contacted samsung support, and they scheduled an appointment with nisi in houston. he has not even run the machine to check its complaints or errors. after 25-30 minutes, he said the caps for the wall mounts were not installed properly, and that was the reason for all these issues, and he left. we continued to experience the same problems and contacted samsung again, and they said that the previous technician informed them that there was no issue with the dishwasher and they did not do anything. it is a punishment for us that we need to stick with it because we spent our money to buy their product.

I've now had this dishwasher a couple of months and wanted to go over the highlights. There are many wash modes on this machine and I've tried 3-4 of them and they all seem to fit the intended or described purpose. I also really like the top/3rd rack for flat utensils, etc, its a great feature. Also, having the door pop at the end of the cycle is very helpful in not having to worry about hand drying dishes where water has pooled when emptying it in the morning. The only down side to this unit is configuring the bottom tray when trying to clean unusually sized pots or pans. Still figuring that one out. All in all a great Dishwasher!

Recently remodeled our kitchen and needed to upgrade our dishwasher. It is unbelievably quiet and at first couldn't even hear it running. Does a fantastic job cleaning the dishes. I bought this dishwasher on black Friday for the smart features and upgraded operations (as compared to my previous dishwasher). Despite reaching out to customer service several times, the dishwasher will just not work properly with the Smartthings app (all my other Samsung appliances work just fine with the app. The dishwasher also will not get everything clean unless I enable zone booster. That's disappointing because this dishwasher takes 2 hours to complete a cycle (and zone booster adds more time).

Very quiet dishwasher if that what is critical for you.
The washing quality is mostly good. Couple of issues. This is a newer more energy efficient dishwasher and it does not have a heating element in the tub, so the drying is not as good as with the older machines. Especially problematic are all the plasticware. Also it would not wash the plastic as well. You need to chose extra hot and/or sanitize cycle for these. and then it will take 3 hours to wash.
Another issue are the buttons, they are not sensitive enough and usually you need to push them 2-3 times.

We purchased this a month ago. Bought it off Samsung's website. Was dropped shipped s to my home. That was outstanding! Unboxed it and had everything to install, except for the electrical lock clamp and new supply hose. Easy find at you local hardware store. Took a couple of hours to install and have running. This unit is efficient and SUPER quiet. I have opened it up a couple of times not realizing it's running. Cleans very well. Plenty of room to put alot of dishes. Love the wifi connectivity. I get an alert that the dishes are done and when it's time to preform maintenance.

My dishwasher is very quiet, and spacious which is nice, but I keep forgetting to check the upper tray for silverware and I keep thinking I'm running out and need to buy more. Also, my family keeps opening it while it is running to take things out and don't realize that they didn't turn it back on, because it is so quiet. The silverware baskets are hard to put back in if taken out.

We are quite pleased with our new dishwasher. It is extremely quiet and does a good job cleaning the dishes. The timer display on the front of the unit is very useful. While I did not think I'd use the wi-fi accessibility, it is actually a feature that I have found useful to make sure that a delayed start actually started. We were also pleasantly surprised when watching our Samsung TV and a notification popped up telling us that the dishwasher was done running (we didn't do anything other than connect the dishwasher to our wi-fi network). It took a while to figure out exactly how to load the dishes in the racks to avoid some dishes coming out dirty, but overall this unit cleans very well. It even handles very dirty pots/pans like a champ!

This dishwasher MUST be cleaned when the indicator lights up, or it will malfunction. After 1 year it has to be started twice to properly Drain and fill. It seems the sensors indicating the water has been drained do not work. I am going to have to have service come for the second time in a year to fix this relatively new appliance.

Why did I give it a 4 instead of a 5. Because they sent it and right away had to be repaired small issue they didn't set the bearing right on top rack and it fell apart. So it was more of a final check that for them a 4.7 instead of a 5. Love it this works great. Had to get use to it popping open when done.

Dishwasher doesn't clean bowls or pots and pans on the bottom rack. Cleans plates and flat items okay.
