purchased it based on good reviews but, from day 1 it sounds as if i am running a grinder. ordered it as part of an appliance package, which was a mistake, when tried to return i was told the whole order including other appliances have to be returned. kept it thinking it would fix itself. but it just got worse. also it doesn't heat up evenly. not sure how it has so many positive reviews. my 40 $ walmart microwave performs way better than this one.

we didn't even use it that much (on average, once a day to once every other day to re-heat food/drinks) and after less than 2 years, the power won't stay on anymore. it's not the outlet or plug. additionally, the top cover of the microwave was loose from day one and always produced loud vibrations.
i'm severely disappointed in this product. we have many other samsung products and have always been happy with them. this experience has been horrible and we won't be using their appliances again.

Great microwave while it worked. Looked good on the counter and didn't take up a whole lot of space. Easy to clean.
After 5 or so months it would still power on but would not heat food. The problem has not been simple to resolve.

i purchased this microwave because the house came with all newer stainless steel samsung appliances. i thought i'd stick with that; however, i'm rethinking this brand after my experiences. i wish i could say this is the first newer product i've had problems with, but it is not.
we use this microwave only a few times per week and have had it for 2 years. the microwave works fine right now, but the display is suddenly missing a segment, which makes it hard to discern the numbers sometimes. warranty is only 1 year, i'm seeing, and getting this repaired will cost nearly as much as the microwave itself.
instead of investing more money into samsung, i think i will buy a new microwave of a different brand. i expected more from the quality and longevity, for sure.

my first of these microwaves stopped working after about 2.5 years. it simply stopped turning on. i bought another one because i need it to fit into a particular space and it just seemed easier to get the same thing. on the new one, the door broke after a few days, such that the door release button does not pop open the door. instead, you have to push the button with one hand and pry it open with the other hand. inconvenient when you're usually holding a plate of food to stick in there. its still under warranty, but there are no local options for repair or home service according to the website. the option for mail-in service is glitchy on the website and i was unable to submit a service request after trying in both safari and chrome.

i guess i should have read more reviews. it's a very nice product, but not reliable. it has a 1 year warranty and what do you know - the unit totally died 23 days after the warranty expired! it has only been lightly used and to die at just over 1 year? unbelievable. i contacted samsung and they said to schedule a service appt which i would have to pay for. that would be silly because service and parts would cost more than the $160 microwave! i guess samsung is not customer focused, has no flexibility in product failure policy and poor product quality to boot. time to buy a different brand.

the button that opens the door doesnt work.
instead, i have to keep the button pressed down and pull the door open with my other hand.
i bought this at best buy, and the issue first arose within the return window.
i assumed this was a fluke problem, so i exchanged it for a new one (same make/model).
however, the same problem arose again shortly after the return window closed.
i was advised to take the microwave to an independent repair shop and get it fixed myself.
i expected more from these companies.
i have bought a different brand microwave on amazon and will soon put this samsung microwave in the trash where it belongs.
i hope the $180 these companies saved by not helping me out is worth the cost of this honest review.

this microwave traps moisture between glass on door. i placed a service call and was told it was normal and would evaporate. yes, it does. my kitchen aide mixer which sits behind the microwave drips with moisture after i use the microwave. the door also sticks and will not pop open; i have to grab the right hand corner and pull the door open. the unit is very loud and the coil on the inside top has caused several spills with tall mugs. very disappointed with this puchase.

i have this microwave for 4 years at least and it is still rocking. i saw some bad reviews about it, but in my case i have never have trouble with mine. microwave and grill sides work perfect. dont think the grill is going to work like a full oven. it is just a little grill for basic things. so far i love it.

I bought this microwave a little over a year ago and worked fine up until a month after the warranty and went dead! I love Samsung tv's but their appliances are trouble. The dishwasher I bought last year had 2 service calls and washer/dryer had many and washer shaked like crazy. Support was horrible told me too bad basically buy another one.

I bought this microwave because was the right size, had good features, and most importantly to my wife, the interior was ceramic.
Expect your food not to cook evenly. Even though you think by following the food package instructions for cooking that your food will be thoroughly cooked, expect the center of whatever you're cooking to be cold and in some cases still frozen.

This microwave is a great. . However the only draw back that I have found is the buttons. When selecting input you must have your finger straight on the button or it will not work. Apparently the piece that must activate the settings is very small and you must be directly on the specific button .. No side hitting no sliding. . That is the only draw back so far that I have found. .

I was really excited to receive my new microwave. Other reviews were pretty good, so I thought that I made the right choice. The microwave looks great, however it's probably the worst microwave I've ever owned. The first thing I noticed was how loud it was. Okay, I can get over that. But what I can't get over is how long it takes to reheat my food. It just took me five minutes to reheat a piece of chicken and sweet potatoes. Even after that, the food was not very hot. I've never had a microwave take this long. Also, I have yet to find any of my food "crispy" when using the grill feature. I'm almost starting to think I have a defective microwave? I'm not sure, but definitely not happy with my purchase considering the price. I could have went to Wal-Mart and got a cheap one that would have worked better. Will try to contact Samsung for further support.

Appearance, size and price were my initial thoughts going in! Name brand was also important Then I started to find the other features. Grilling element, ceramic interior, ability to turn off the button beep tones! I needed this for the 'man cave' for snacks, etc.
Now I can sneak a snack without alerting the dog!
I've never had much luck with the interior light in past units, always burnning out prematurely. Time will tell with this unit. I have high expectations considering the name... Samsung!

We bought this microwave in July 2016 and now in August 2017 the microwave will frequently lose power when opening the door and smells of burning plastic when cooking food (is this safe?). Conveniently one month past the end of the 12-month manufacturer warranty. I won't be buying a Samsung brand appliance in the future. Very disappointed.

Needed a new microwave due to our other one started arcing. Checked out a couple of stores including Store X (can't use real name). We ended up back at Store X, because they had a large quantity of different microwaves and there cost comparison was really good. We bought the Samsung because it fit all of our family needs. The unit was not the most expensive one on the shelf, but not the cheapest one either. The Samsung is a mid prise range until with great reviews, and we were able to get an extended warranty that was reasonable. The unit is very user friendly with easy to read buttons, and has a feature to disable the beeping.

Under warranty -Replaced high limit stat on magnetron tube and corrected burnt wire to stat also. I had to travel 22miles on several highays to fix it, and it was too heavy for me to lift to my trunk. Had to get someone to put it in and take it back into my kitchen.

We had read several times info about 'testing' microwaves for 'leakage' of the (micro) waves. The articles said to put a cell phone into the microwave (do not turn it on!) and call it from another cell phone. If the signal goes through and it rings, there is the probability of leakage. As did all others we tested, Samsung' s regular countertop microwaves let the signal through, but Samsung's models with the ceramic interior did NOT let the signal through! Thank you!
