Ice maker complete failure

the samsung ice maker for the three door refrigerator has a freeze up problem that the company knows about but can not fix. i am on my second refrigerator and the problem is the same. when talking to the repair man he said the company knows about problem and there is no cure. i must defrost with a hairdryer every8 to 12 weeks than use the fd fast defrost setup to return my unit to normal.

icemaker stopped working after 8 months - got it repaired under warranty. now about a year later icemaker works sometimes and when it works it makes very few icecubes. looked online and seems to be major issue with samsung. very dissapointed - expensive fridge and doesn't work
